    Below would bring all of the Stat Categories currently being used by the NHL.

    OT = OT and/or S/O Losses
    PIM = Penalty Minutes
    TOI = Time On Ice
    G = Goals
    A = Assists

    John, there are ample categories to assign negative points. Using a disparaging and offensive, such as "sissy" is very immature.

    Rewarding a player or a team for a penalty is contrary to logic. I agree that PIM should reflect as the NHL applies the category.

    To be consistent with the default playoff scheme, which Baseball, Basketball, and Hockey uses, Football should use the following, instead of the 4 team playoff (includes a consolation bracket):

    The top 6 teams in the league standings after the last week of the Fantasy regular season qualify for a 3-week postseason tournament to determine a league champion.

    The next 6 teams in the standings qualify for a consolation bracket to determine 7th through 12th place. The season is over for everyone else.

    Teams - 6 championship, 6 consolation
    Playoff Weeks - 2 options:
    Weeks 14, 15, and 16
    Weeks 15, 16, and 17

    Anonymous,

    Actually, it is not DST, it is under the "Kick & Punt Returning" settings. My point is the positions, more that the scoring, to make Special Team more relevant, along with the Offense Team and the Defense Team.

    In order to keep Special Teams relevant, I propose adding two positions:

    KR = Kick Returner
    PR = Punt Returner

    Each NFL team designate a player, usually a wide receiver, slotted on its special team roster. Adding the above two roster positions will allow leagues to utilize the return yards and the return touchdowns into their grand scheme of their football strategy.

    The above will provide a valuable option for league owners, whereas, some wide receivers and runnings backs may be on the low end of their respective depth chart, but may be on the top end of the special team depth chart.

    If IDP's can be included into the roster positions, so should special team positions that can provide some scoring potential for team owners and allow leagues take full advantage of of most of the NFL positions.

    Very intriguing! The Rotisserie still does not compete against other teams, in H2H settings, but based on the top tier of the season ending standings, participate in a playoff setting, similar to the H2H format.

    I would also factor wildcard teams as well.

    Below is what I see as a commissioner:

    Scoring Settings Edit the scoring categories and point modifiers you chose during registration. Until League starts All

    The Stat and Score Settings are disabled after the league starts, not after the last game. The Stat and Score Settings should be the only item disabled until the leagues are renewed. The commissioner should at least prep the league for next season and allow off-season trading.

    I would recommend that off-season trading can only be conducted between the teams of record and that no players can be retrieved from the waivers.

    I would recommend that, under the Commissioner Tools, the League Management, the Team Management, and the Keeper Management remains available for ongoing Dynasty and Keeper operations.

    I would recommend that the voting should be by Majority: “At least 50% of the votes plus one or a number greater than half of the total votes cast.”

    Ruth,

    I agree with your system for trade vetoes managed by the Commissioner. If Yahoo determines that there would be a network load balance problems for its web environment, then enabling a text box would not be feasible. If Yahoo is utilizing a CMS, then there should not be a problem in enabling the field setting for a textfield or textarea.

    I would recommend that the veto remain anonymous, but have a text field added, requiring an explanation for the veto. The team owner can remain masked, but their explanation would become public.

    In other words, in order to submit a veto, the team owner will be required to provide an explanation. The explanation can be in the form of multiple choices, free form, or both.

    This would be a challenge for the Yahoo Engineers, but possible. After proposing a trade, when a team owner clicks on "continue", this is where a screen redesign will need to take place. The team owner would select players from multiple teams that they are expressing an interest in trading for and an alert/email would be sent to owners that are being targeted for a multi-player trade deal. In order to consummate the trade, each affect team owner would have to be willing participants, whether for future draft selections or the proposal of a different player. The trading may take some time, in order to get all parties into some agreement, but this can be done. The issue will come up, is how will the multiplayer/team trade be evaluated for fairness and that each team owner involved is properly compensated.

    The playoff format should follow the NHL format, which involves divisional competition.
