[Chat/Message Boards] Message Board Removal Feedback
Feedback regarding the removal of message boards from Fantasy Baseball in the 2023 season.
Fantasy league message boards are not going to be available for the current season however you can still access historical message board posts through your fantasy profile. You can continue to communicate with your league via Fantasy Chat, email and commissioner notes. Moving forward we are investing in chat as the best place for league communication and will be adding threading, pinning, polls and more. We welcome your feedback below about how your league used message boards to help us make future improvements.

Wow, impressive! Whoever is in charge over there is is brilliant! To be able to find the one thing to make every single user on a platform unilaterally want to get rid of that platform to go to one they find more inferior is a remarkable ability. It’s almost like you’re trying to get Fantrax’s enrollment to number 1. Oh I just figured it out! The decision maker has millions of shares of Fantrax stock. It make’s so much sense now.

Every fantasy game operator has these for their leagues. No sweat off my back. I only use Yahoo! when I join a league that already exists. Much prefer Fantrax.

Moved my leagues to Fantrax their support team was able to do it in minutes. You all should too

Colossally stupid. How do you fail to master mid-1990s technology?

I'm the first year commish of a long running keeper league. Beyond the fact that our rules were posted on the message boards and some trade details were as well, we need the ability to thread communications such as the message boards allowed as we work through pre-season preparations, etc. Unfortunately, chat will not allow that and pushing us to a separate site for this functionality is leading to frustration that is honestly making me consider alternatives for where to take this league.

I’ve been doing yahoo fantasy sports for over 20 years, I’ve never seen such a horrible bad choice by yahoo fantasy , to think fantasy lgs don’t need the messege board is crazy , your going to turn so many people off and to move to other platforms. So many keeper/dynesty lgs run rookie drafts etc offline on the msg board , you’ve ruined a great thing ! Please bring back the messege board asap

Don't want to call it critical, but "Important" doesn't really say it. "Very Important" is more like it. So many of us have league histories - rules changes and such - embedded in the message boards. Yes, there are alternatives, but if Yahoo wants to do away with these, give us advance warning. Tell us they're going to be gone in 2024, or give us a date during the season so we can find another message platform.

Come on! Been fighting off the 2 or 3 guys in our leagues that prefer Fantrax for a couple seasons, and now you’ve backed us into a corner. Can’t run our leagues without the message board. WTH are you doing over there? Are you trying to shut down Yahoo Fantasy Sports?? I don’t want to go to Fantrax, but our Commish has already said we have to go over unless you reconsider.

Bring back the message board please. Our league is running since 2003 and we use the message board exclusively for communication.
The decision to remove it, is probably the end of our league.
We need the message board! -

Yahoo, this is a terrible decision. Please bring back the Message Board function.
Without it, it will be exponentially more difficult for our league members to communicate with each other.I've been using Yahoo for fantasy sports (baseball and now football too) for 15 years and this is the first time I have considered leaving Yahoo for another platform.
Please reverse your decision and help out your very loyal longtime user base!
Thank you for taking the time to read and consider our feedback.

WTF......There is a waiting list at Fantrax now. Now I know why.

This is a truly perplexing decision. I have been an advocate for staying with Yahoo even with the growing consensus of this league wanting to change. But this is a step to far. Now I have to literally check another app just to see posts. This needs to come back or we will be looking for another fantasy app.

Well I got to say this is the final slap in the face to those that have been with Yahoo for 20+ years. Y’all keep taking away and never upgrading or enhancing. Can’t even give us rosters over 30 players. Sorry to say I’m moving my leagues to another platform. Say bye bye to the click bait.

My league has operated at Yahoo for 10 years, and the league before that was here for two years. We've dealt with some dumb but bearable choices and a lack of evolution/features, but this may be the decision that prompts us to switch to Fantrax.

How long are you gathering feedback? The overwhelming consensus here, on social media, and even on your post opening the season is managers need a message board and people will leave the platform without it. Come on Yahoo, this can't be that hard a fix and can't possibly be saving you that much money.

I can’t believe you would remove message boards without letting the community know. What a dumb move on your part.

Joel McKee commented
This is terrible. You are simply removing functionality. There is zero upside to users. Message boards have been an important part of our league since its inception approximately 20 years ago. We will be switching to another platform (ESPN or CBS) if this change goes through.

Removing the message board is a terrible decision.
Totally unacceptable that it was implemented without giving users any warning.
We have 22 years of history in our league's message boards and we were given no opportunity by @YahooFantasy to back-up our data elsewhere.
If this is not addressed, we will be moving to Fantrax.

I don’t understand how
