[Chat/Message Boards] Message Board Removal Feedback
Feedback regarding the removal of message boards from Fantasy Baseball in the 2023 season.
Fantasy league message boards are not going to be available for the current season however you can still access historical message board posts through your fantasy profile. You can continue to communicate with your league via Fantasy Chat, email and commissioner notes. Moving forward we are investing in chat as the best place for league communication and will be adding threading, pinning, polls and more. We welcome your feedback below about how your league used message boards to help us make future improvements.

In order to abide by our own keeper rules - I need to post (or email) the previous keepers and other pertinent info to the league. As well, we have our own payout system for best cumulative record every 2 weeks, which is posted and shared. I will be doing this in excel / email this year but having the site for a place to store this information is helpful from year to year.

Why did you do away with message boards? Not having boards is a huge burden for running a league.
I can ask for feedback, get opinions and most importantly, it hurts the continuity of the league. I have run this league for almost 20 years. And using the message boards has really helped us stay together and kept us close. Example, we had one person who lost his wife. He enjoyed that emotional support from us.. And we can talk in a relative real time. in depth. Something you can do in a chat, or a email.]
Please don't punish us.. Especially all who are grown-up and know how to communicate in a public manner.
Regards,

We relied solely on the message boards. Either bring back the message boards, add chat to the website (why tf didn’t this happen anyway with such a drastic change), or we’re out after the season.

@George Salsa, absolutely. If this feedback is some huge circle jerk, then tell us, so we can get out.

WHY??? What a ridiculously STUPID idea. Seriously....why remove the message board. They are an integral part of the entire site. Every league needs a message board. If Yahoo's intention is to ultimately eliminate the website platform altogether and go strictly to your mobile app then please just let us all know now so we can find a new provider for all of your fantasy sports leagues. Whoever thought this was a good idea should be terminated.

Message Boards allowed individual leagues to communicate and work out ideas and conflicts among managers of that particular league. It was direct communication without having to go outside of the league page. I expect this season will be much more difficult in terms of communications and ultimately, will not be as much fun. Please bring back the Message Boards

Honestly, the message board is critical to the communication of our league. More than likely, this will result in my finding a different site to run our league.

Why are people still posting here to a deaf and dumb Yahoo? They do NOT care about us and will NOT bring the Message Board back. Time to stop ******* your head against the wall here and move on.
We moved to FANTRAX weeks ago and love it. It too is free and has way more features than Yahoo ever had including ... you guessed it ... an excellent Message Board.
FANTRAX has taken in tons of former Yahoo transplanted refugee leagues so far this year and is happy to take in more since it is 100% a fantasy sports platform and is totally focused on same and LISTENING AND RESPONDING to it's fantasy managers.
Imagine that. FANTRAX is a platform that has it's contact and help info in the main header and not hidden in grayed out fine print on the bottom of the Overview. A platform that actually works WITH you and not against you. A platform that treats you with respect. Come on over!

The message board is the lifeblood of our league. It is how many of our members stay connected across the country. Our league has been on Yahoo for 13 years and rarely sees any investment in fantasy baseball. As opposed to fantasy football where it seems there's a new trinket every season. Why remove the best way to communicate with your league without offering any viable alternative?

How in the world are you going to drop the message boards, tell us to use the chat, and not make the chat available on the website?
Simply astounding
