[Chat/Message Boards] Message Board Removal Feedback
Feedback regarding the removal of message boards from Fantasy Baseball in the 2023 season.
Fantasy league message boards are not going to be available for the current season however you can still access historical message board posts through your fantasy profile. You can continue to communicate with your league via Fantasy Chat, email and commissioner notes. Moving forward we are investing in chat as the best place for league communication and will be adding threading, pinning, polls and more. We welcome your feedback below about how your league used message boards to help us make future improvements.

The removal of message boards cripples many of my fantasy leagues. It's safe to assume that if Yahoo has removed them from baseball, that message boards will also be removed from all other fantasy sports.
I've been hearing good things about Fantrax. Perhaps it's time to move over there.

It probably exists in hockey because Hockey is still in progress, Mark. The reasons are clearly revenue motivated with much more profit to be made off of football and baseball through multi-media device cross-platform integrated advertising saturation and on-line gambling etc. (look up the recent deal agreement between Yahoo and Marin). Follow the money not the the logic of this having anything to do with the betterment of yahoo users' interactive experience. Their bottom line is literally "the" bottom line for the dispassionate negligence of poor corporate governorship that will negatively impact their stake holding investors over the long haul, along with all their ties from Verizon to Microsoft and Amazon etc. It's a knee-jerk decision that could doom their brand reputation in much more significant ways than what they anticipate to help stop the short-term bleeding that is these multi-national and global conglomerate board directors will most certainly never care to concern themselves with as long as they still get their bonuses. That's reality. But I do think you should consider bringing your Hockey point up as a post on the main message board removal thread,

Very important for making league wide decisions and easier to access than emailing league members. Please resume this feature.

I have been exclusively in Yahoo fantasy leagues for years. The message board keeps me up with league activities. I will follow any yahoo fantasy league to whatever service my leagues move to.

I would have given 100 dollars to be in the room and to have listen to the people who thought that this was a good idea. I would bet another 100 that those who thought this was a good idea, did so with the believe that they were helping to save the world. You know, just like Harry thought that he was saving Meghan by leaving the UK.

The Message board is a must have for all my leagues, if it is not add back we will have to leave yahoo and go to espn for our leagues.

All the posts on here echo my thoughts. I've been faithful to Yahoo Fantasy for 17 years now and rely on the message boards. By taking these away I will be evaluating leaving for another service which is member friendly.

Are you freaking kidding me, Yahoo? Echoing all other comments, it’s absolutely idiotic to not have message boards underneath each league information. It’s the easiest way to transmit and keep a record of relevant information for league members. I’ve been using your product for 15 years plus but if this is how you treat your customers, then you deserve what you get when people leave your platform and no one wants to use your ****** DFS games/products. So incredibly short sighted and stupid, I strongly recommend you reconsider this action for 2023 and future years.

Taking my league off yahoo for this. It's the straw that broke the camels back. Just an inexplicable stupid decision. The message boards were archaic and pathetic anyways.. Pretty sure they hadn't been updated since the day they were implemented. BUT, they were very useful and critical for leagues where not everyone knows each other. FU Yahoo.

Fantrax is the answer, this is all about Yahoo wanting to control any information that does not come from their propaganda machine!

Adding message boards back to fantasy baseball leagues. It helps with communication. Thanks.

It's like playing baseball without any fans in the seats. It's like trying to be a GM without using a phone. It's like watching a baseball game on TV with the sound turned off. I can not think of one good reason that someone would think that this is a good idea, unless they are purposely wanting to reduce the number of teams this year drastically.

Beyond belief that you would remove the message boards from fantasy. Just stupid.

First of my three leagues is semi-moved to FANTRAX already and rest will follow.
I already like FANTRAX much better just in the first hour so don't be afraid to make the change.
Come join us and see what a MESSAGE BOARD looks like again.

Yahoo used to add features and now they’re just removing them. You’re going to lose your most dedicated users in keeper and dynasty leagues blindly doing stuff like this. Message boards are extremely basic functionality common on tons of websites and it’s laughable to remove them with no notice.

We don't just play the game. We discuss rules and draft schedules and trades and confirm rosters etc. The message function serves that well and keeps our activities inside Yahoo. Perhaps this will not affect public leagues very much. Still, it will be devastating for private leagues with non-standard and varied rules and settings where instant and easy communications are vital. My gut tells me Yahoo will lose a considerable number of private leagues to other clients. This may not affect Yahoo directly but the bad taste left in so many very active Yahoo users mouths will have a deletarious effect on Yahoo's reputation. This will be another nail in Yahoo's coffin. Bring it back

BRING BACK MESSAGE BOARDS! Don't decisions like this go through some sort of feedback process with actual users??
