[Chat/Message Boards] Message Board Removal Feedback
Feedback regarding the removal of message boards from Fantasy Baseball in the 2023 season.
Fantasy league message boards are not going to be available for the current season however you can still access historical message board posts through your fantasy profile. You can continue to communicate with your league via Fantasy Chat, email and commissioner notes. Moving forward we are investing in chat as the best place for league communication and will be adding threading, pinning, polls and more. We welcome your feedback below about how your league used message boards to help us make future improvements.

The message board needs to come back. Critical league messages are posted on it and not everyone uses the app to talk. You can see all the negative comments on here about it and people leaving the platform. Would be a wise move to bring back an essential tool.

we will be leaving for another platform with a message board. its a shame.....we've played on yahoo for a long time.

The message board is a must have in any league

What on earth? Why on earth would this be removed, especially without any heads up? This is the only way to truly communicate in the yahoo leagues as the chat is really poor. Yahoo's mobile app is very outdated and does not have good real time communication to make this viable. If you have two yahoo id's, you only get notifications for the one you are currently signed in as, also. Please do not remove this as this would make yahoo fantasy leagues even less viable.

Didn't even get a headsup because critical messages were on the message board like prospect lists, trades from last season, league rules, etc. Now they've just disappeared and we have to guess.

This really does impact keeper leagues. Please reconsider.

Why remove features? Should always be looking to add features instead. I use Yahoo and Fantrax for my leagues, and the message boards serve a key purpose on both platforms. You're going to lose leagues that rely on this.

I'm respectfully requesting the reintegration of the message board feature, or at the very least Yahoo providing me a method to obtain archived message board posts for my leagues. My leagues have extensively used the message board feature for the past 17 years to manage our minor league teams, and without this data our leagues are potentially irreparably damaged. I think it's very poor customer service to delete this feature without providing any notice to leagues, and without providing commissioners a method of retrieving message board posts from prior years. We'll likely move to Fantrax if Yahoo doesn't reenable this feature for the 2023 season.

The message boards are VITAL to keeper leagues. Our pre-draft and custom slow draft depend on them.

The removal of league message boards is a critical error in my estimation. As league commissioner I use the league message board year to year to keep track of important league information. Perhaps I missed it, but a heads up that this was going to happen would have been the least that Yahoo could do so that people could retrieve information from the past. Why can't past message boards remain a part of previous year's sites so that we can go back and get critical information?

The problem with removal of message boards lies with the offline draft leagues. We have used these message boards for 15+ years to run our drafts. Even kept prospect lists. If this is the end decision, most of these leagues will no longer be able to be properly run on Yahoo. So there will be a mass exodus. I run many leagues in all 4 sports and will be moving every single on of them to another site, if this removal stands.

Numerous leagues have used the message board as the sole area of communication for decades. They contain information from previous years, without which we cannot continue. Chat function does not seem to tie to email like message board posts, and had much less functionality especially for large text posts. Been using this site for over 20 years, but this WILL cause loads of users to cut bait and transfer to other sites.

The crazy thing is I just filled out a yahoo fantasy sports survey last week and there was no mention of doing away with message boards. At minimum an explanation is in order. I don't believe message boards are critical in public leagues that Yahoo runs, but in private leagues where many people know each other and there is a private human commish it is absolutely critical.

I have defended Yahoo for the last several years as I have been playing on Yahoo since 2022. I have always appreciated it's simplicity and being user friendly.
Removing message boards is a horrible move by Yahoo and has made it very difficult for many users. It is a key hub of communication for leagues and the forum used for message board drafts in Dynasty leagues and slow drafts. Using the chat will not be a viable forum for these purposes.
You can do better, Yahoo. Do the right thing. Bring back the message boards.

Tony Parslow- following you. I will go with you if you go and wherever you go. Preference would be Fleaficker over Fantrax.

Disaster. So stupid and shortsighted it beggars belief.
Are you trying to kill the site off? If so just come out and say it. -

I moved all of my Leagues to Yahoo but now I have to leave because of a moron decision. The "message board" is what gives leagues like mine the personal touch. That's what "woke" Yahoo doesn't want. They already rule over what stories can be commented on while their liberal writers write ****. And they deem so many words offensive. I guess it's back to Fleaflicker!!

I just renewed my leagues on Yahoo and immediately came to see this HORRIBLE DECISION to remove the message board! I'd be disappointed if you removed archived messages from previous seasons (assuming I knew about it in ADVANCE), but I'm horrified that it would be removed completely so we cannot communicate during an active season! Please return this feature immediately! I'm paying for YahooPlus and I'm now losing a basic feature that I need to run my leagues.
Please return the message board NOW! YahooFantasyCare on reddit said there is a "chat messenger" that can now use to post messages; I've spent 10 minutes on the site just now and I cannot find it. Please provide direction as I cannot even find it and I'm a commissioner that has been using Yahoo Fantasy for 25 years. If I cannot easily find it, there is little hope the rest of the league will find it and/or regularly use it. I keep telling people online that I find YahooFantasy as the best site to play fantasy sports (in many online media), but this decision immediately changes that opinion for me. I'm going to be spending a lot more more time and money on Fantrax if this feature isn't returned.
