[Chat/Message Boards] Message Board Removal Feedback
Feedback regarding the removal of message boards from Fantasy Baseball in the 2023 season.
Fantasy league message boards are not going to be available for the current season however you can still access historical message board posts through your fantasy profile. You can continue to communicate with your league via Fantasy Chat, email and commissioner notes. Moving forward we are investing in chat as the best place for league communication and will be adding threading, pinning, polls and more. We welcome your feedback below about how your league used message boards to help us make future improvements.

The message board essentially is the functional trash talking mechanism...taking that away simply sterilizes the league so that the woke NPCs can play

Our league has used message boards to relay important information. We already have a group chat for quick communication. While the commissioner notes section is similar, it doesn't allow for multiple posts throughout the season. Perhaps removing the message board makes sense in public leagues where people have the opportunity to post stupid, irrelevant stuff. However, it is a great tool for private leagues to keep a running record of updates throughout the season. I can see I am not alone in requesting the message board returning as soon as possible.

Chat is perhaps the absolute worst way to communicate most fantasy sports issues. While good for negotiating trades, its terrible for mass communication for establishing draft date/time, sending updates, informing draft order, voting on rule changes, etc. Investing in chat as the place for polls and threads will only make it more confusing. Please take a step back and provide a way to communicate as an entire league that works for both PC and app users.

Half my league uses the web for fantasy, so doesn't have chat, and the other half sees it as a confusing intrusion on their private lives.

This is a worse idea than the Maginot Line, attacking Russia in winter, bell bottoms, casting Ben Affleck as Batman, the Ford Pinto, CNN+, the McTaco, Peeps flavored Pepsi and The Inhumans. Combined. Squared. What possible reason did someone at Yahoo find compelling to, with short notice, make everyone's life exponentially harder, reduce engagement and create all this unanimously voiced bad will? Did you get bought by Disney?

you shouldn't allow commissioners to change draft day and time once after 72 hours prior and can no longer delete and get a refund

WtF??!!!!!!!
Whose brilliant idea?!
Chats are a mess -- let alone not having the functionality promised!!
League Issues need individual threads -- just a headache trying sort through one string of chats!
Bring them back or next season all my 20+ years worth of leagues migrate -- FanTrax is making some sweet offers!

Message board is used for voting, keeper selections, draft date planning. Now it is a real pain and might have to change websites after 22 years in Yahoo! Bring back for private leagues. Understood on deleting for public leagues - the planning aspect of the message board is not needed for public leagues.

Bring back message boards, the chat rooms suck to communicate

PSS: I have just been reading the posts below and I don't know why the Message Board is not back yet? Without reading ALL of the post my guess the VOTING is about ALL OF THE YAHOO FANTASY BASEBALL USERS -- estimated 4.8M users to 1!
Hmmm, 4.8M vs. 1?
I think the fans have spoken. Bring it back--bring it back-- bring it back-- bring it back!
Why is there even anymore discussion about it? Yahoo, are you waiting for just one other person to side with you so you can feel good about the decision? It's not going to happen...
Wow, that rant felt good... Kind of like writing smack on the old league message board again!

This message board has been in use (and heavily used through out the season) as the main source of communication for our league. We have members spread out throughout the USA and the in the world, as one of our members lives in Europe. This being said, to not have a league message board was almost disastrous. I have had to give out my personal cell number to all members of the league via email in order to set up league times and communications. What I have notices so far is that the playful banter, smack talk, and fun has gone out of the league this year as they know that communication via text to the rest of the league now spills over into others' personal lives such as work and family time because a potential text alert that says something benign like, "Your team is going to lose!" could potential disturb somebody's family meal, work, or appointment. Not to mention that if it is a group text multiple family meals, works, or appointments. In other words, the message board is a fun way to communicate and Yahoo has taken away that "fun" element for our league. BRING THE MESSAGE BOARD BACK QUICKLY!
PS. Private chat does not bring that fun back either because much of the smack talk is wanting to be directed at nobody in particular but wants to be heard and shared by everyone-- think of the Jim Rome Show "Takes" -- That was our message board! -

Chat is not helpful we used the message boards in out leagues for communication. I think it is a poor decision to get rid of the message boards. Who ever made this decision is out of touch.

Why would you want to make it more difficult for members of a league to communicate? The message board system made that so easy.
This is a brutally bad idea. You should change it back immediately, find the genius who came up with the ridiculous notion, kick him in the jewels and fire him.

Terrible idea. We now have to search to see if anything has been said, rather than it appearing when we go to the league page. Really hindering conversations
