[Chat/Message Boards] Message Board Removal Feedback
Feedback regarding the removal of message boards from Fantasy Baseball in the 2023 season.
Fantasy league message boards are not going to be available for the current season however you can still access historical message board posts through your fantasy profile. You can continue to communicate with your league via Fantasy Chat, email and commissioner notes. Moving forward we are investing in chat as the best place for league communication and will be adding threading, pinning, polls and more. We welcome your feedback below about how your league used message boards to help us make future improvements.

Our league used this a lot. It was easier for a discussion among all the managers where the email system does not allow communication. I am very angry about this foolish move. Please reinstate this immediately.

Still waiting for an official 'reason' for this move. It obviously makes zero sense. Would love to know the truth and justification for this decision.
Message boards have been around since the beginning of the internet. Why? Because they are an easy, simple, effective and essential way to communicate. How do you want us to officially respond to you deleting message boards? Use a message board. As they say the proof is self evident.

This is terrible! We are just a bunch of old geezers and don't like change. I can't even find where to chat on your website. Our league runs off communication and BS on the chat board! We, in this league, don't like this and are already looking at other websites to host our 21 year old league.

Getting ready to do our off-line draft. The new chatbot is about useless as it does not alert anyone when a new message is written. Thus we will have to do the draft via Email with Reply all. Very clunky. Thanks for the giant step backwards.

Why???? Our league, like I assume many others, has a few batches of people. Everyone knows a couple people in person but core folks bring in their group. As such we don't have a joint running chat and wouldn't use it but message boards are the primary communication medium in our league and we have multiple different threads on rules, payouts, prop wins, trash talk, etc. Leagues composed of folks who would use chat are likely already communicating through chat in outside forums. All of that aside, the most basic reaction - I have NEVER played in a fantasy league of any kind without message boards and this seems ridiculous / will definitely cause a debate if we want to move our league off of Yahoo.

What? Why? Does Yahoo not want us to communicate together as everyone in the league? I've literally got multiple questions to post in my league right now, but can't. I don't even know how to fantasy chat? What are you doing Yahoo. Strongly considering leaving Yahoo Fantasy Baseball together over this. Dumbest decision you've made. All I want to know is why? Seriously why????

Chat boards are important. I have used them for years to post updates, votes and retain information that occured in our prior league years. It helps as a time stamp, especially if we have managers that feel a particular rule or payout is different from what they thought, therefore we would go back to previous year message board to obtain the information as proof. Bring the Message Boards back please.

Terrible, the chat boards are so important, now my league wants to switch to ESPNs terrible format. Fix this before the season.

Awful idea. My league uses the message board for a lot of reasons. I guess if it ain't broke Yahoo is going to fix it until it is.

Where is the ******* chat? I don't see it anywhere in the menus. Please don't get rid of message boards.

Wow I think this is a horrible decision. The message boards are critical for our managers to easily interact with each other on important topics in one central location and by topic so that the whole league sees the conversation. What is the alternative to this? Not good in my opinion and I hope you guys see the responses and at least give each commissioner the option of whether to use the message boards or not on the league pages.

Will you please make the draft time later that day like 8pm or earlier like 10am

This is causing an identity crisis for me. All these years the creatures that used ESPN were actually right?

YAHOO why even waste OUR time with this BS, you don't care about we users. Sounds to me like another Democrat move to CONTROL us.

Your ******* decision on deleting the message boards ranks right up there with BIDEN giving UKRAINE 100 BILLION taxpayers dollars. I have/had a great 9 year old keeper league and 3 quit and I talked 4 others into coming back. Keep it up Yahoo, your about to drop off the map in Fantasy Sports.

Yahoo---simple solution to this critical issue. Why don't you allow individual league commissioners the option to either use the Message Board or Chat, but not both, in their respective leagues? I believe you know the answer as the overwhelming majority of commissioners would choose the Message Board. Bring back the Message Board and at least give us an option.
