[Chat/Message Boards] Message Board Removal Feedback
Feedback regarding the removal of message boards from Fantasy Baseball in the 2023 season.
Fantasy league message boards are not going to be available for the current season however you can still access historical message board posts through your fantasy profile. You can continue to communicate with your league via Fantasy Chat, email and commissioner notes. Moving forward we are investing in chat as the best place for league communication and will be adding threading, pinning, polls and more. We welcome your feedback below about how your league used message boards to help us make future improvements.

No message board is the dumbest thing yahoo has ever done. Someone should be fired>

Way to go Yahoo, first you get rid of the Message board, now the chat isn't working what next Email or should we just go back to sending "smoke"signals to communicate....

funny how the dopes at yahoo are soliciting opinions on a message board about getting rid of.........(wait for it).........THE MESSAGE BOARD! put aside your pride and restore this TODAY! an honest person can make a mistake but a true MORON refuses to accept/remedy it! you have till the end of the month to fix this or me and my leagues are gone!

Very disappointed in Yahoo's decision to remove message boards from Fantasy Baseball. My friends and family keeper league is in its 21st season. We use the message board for teams to post their keepers leading up to the draft, and I post an intro message and then messages throughout the season. League members also use it to post questions. We've never used the Fantasy Chat resource, nor are we interested in that. We want a message board that is easily accessible right from the home page and will stay there as a record to reference. I will need to track down everyone's cell number now and create some type of group chat to utilize to get everyone's keepers. All this does is create more work for me as a commissioner and make the league less enjoyable for everyone. I'm not sure why Yahoo would choose to remove such a helpful feature. All I can think of is you are trying to get more people to use the Fantasy Chat. Terrible Decision!

My guess is that Yahoo getting rid of message boards is to weed out a lof of leagues to make it ultimately a pay site. You will be able to pay for message boards in the future...Its coming.

Literally cannot function properly without message boards. No one checks email. This is dumb. C'mon Yahoo, get your act together.

the managers in my leagues are not happy about the removal of the message boards it was the easiest way for them to contact each other a lot of them are retired and in their late 70's and even a couple in there 80's that can barely get around on a computer the message boards were right there in front of them in plain sight.

Do NOT remove the message board - this is the best form of communication between managers...with the message board, everyone communicates together, and a consensus is reached when debating topics. This is a bad move by Yahoo! and makes little sense...the negatives far outreach the benefits of this move.

Big mistake by Yahoo! Could cost them many leagues. My commish is already planning to move our dynasty to another site

Removing the message boards is a big mistake. I am in 3 different Keeper/Dynasty Leaguea and a Commish in 2 of them. We use message boards to track draft pick trades and minor league player rosters in all. The Message Boards are integral to the in-season functions of all of our leagues, especially when tracking how the moves affect the next season. If message boards are not brought back we will likely move these leagues to Fantrax.

The android app for yahoo already has fewer features than the iPhone app and way fewer than on the cpu (cannot see games played in rotisserie, commissioner notes not easy to find, etc.). I only use my phone and rely on the message board to relay important league information. Our veto process for trades is also via message boards, allowing managers to express concerns and rationals in an easy-to-use-and-see thread. To be clear: I do NOT want ANY of my fantasy sports chats going to my email. There is way too much to sift through. I have neither the time nor the desire to be mixing my work (email will remind me of all the other things I have to do) with my fantasy escape. If the new "Chat" section simply replaces the message board and can be used the same way it may be ok but if not, I may be taking my 23 years of loyalty elsewhere.

chat box is down since yesterday.... box just keeps spinning, on Chrome. Firefox, and Edge. It is really tough to run leagues without any tools.

Clown move Yahoo. Makes no sense getting rid of the message board. It's the main way everyone communicates in our leagues and is the easiest way to post updates and league rules to see. Please reconsider before the baseball season starts. Thanks.

In my opinion, this is a major flop. I have always used the message boards to communicate league details to the commissioners. Draft date, payouts, rule updates, polls and informational posts throughout the season. It's a centralized location that is easy to access for the league managers. Not a great change.

So the message board is history and now the chat box is a spinning wheel. When did Pete Buttigieg become Secretary of Yahoo Fantasy?

Can’t find the chat on the league home page. If it’s the little thing in the lower right corner i click on it and it just keeps spinning like it’s trying to load? Who’s half baked idea was it to change a feature that’s been there forever and replace it with one that isn’t even currently working? This change should have been rolled out once the bugs were worked out and all the features were already there. Our league will probably just begin a discord server to message because I’m sure that will be significantly better than what yahoo is rolling out. I hope I’m wrong. Change isn’t always easy but not happy with the transition here so far.

Makes zero sense. There are ways you can push and improve chat and email without eliminating message boards entirely. It's like saying, well, most people only text these days, so everyone's phone now will no longer be able to make calls. Derp. Yeah, a lot of people need the message boards even if whoever's running this site doesn't like them, just like a lot of people still make phone calls. Can we bring back message boards just for the sake of sanity?

If you're going to focus on chat instead of message board, can you make it available on the desktop browser?
