Feedback regarding the removal of message boards from Fantasy Baseball in the 2023 season.

Fantasy league message boards are not going to be available for the current season however you can still access historical message board posts through your fantasy profile. You can continue to communicate with your league via Fantasy Chat, email and commissioner notes. Moving forward we are investing in chat as the best place for league communication and will be adding threading, pinning, polls and more. We welcome your feedback below about how your league used message boards to help us make future improvements.

    Chat stinks. It is full of transactions so it will be hard to find messages that were previously posted on message boards. Also with message boards, it is easy to find the full season of comments lined up in an easy to find format. I suppose Yahoo thinks that this is a technical advancement, but it is completely not needed for my league. I pray that message boards be reinstated. And why do I have to sign into voice which I have no idea what that is.

    We use the message board to post mid-season and end-of-the season announcements, wrap-ups, all-star teams and highlights. The great thing is we can go back to any season and get the end-of-the-season wrap-up for that particular season. It is basically the historical base for our league.

    Why would you do this? I need to post **** to the whole league. This is really stupid. I hate it. I will be looking to find another format to play fantasy baseball this year. Idiots.

    it's the only way we have to communicate throughout the league and I'm involved is 15 leagues annually. thanks

    I think the best answer they're going to be willing to provide is that they're electing to prioritize the chat module going forward.

    You'd need someone off the record to tell you the real story / motivation behind this move.

    It's got a massive disapproval rate and they don't care. They've dug their heels in and would rather alienate everyone than actually fix the problem.

    Agree! However, I don't think they have any intention of bringing them back despite the obvious feedback.

    They're going to ignore the feedback because someone above them made a decision to push chat.

    Dumb! I will be seeking out a new platform to host our league. We dont really use it that much, but it was very convenient whenever someone needed to contact the entire league. Just the fact that you aren't listening to your customers, tells me its time to go because its just going to get worse.

    In the past 3 weeks, there have been 1000+ comments here from users who are unanimously begging Yahoo to bring back Message Boards.

    No other thread in the history of this forum has ever received >266 comments (!!!)

    Yahoo, what more do you need to hear?

    Please listen to your users.

    Please bring back Message Boards, at least for 2023 until a viable replacement is functional and ready for use.

    Otherwise we will have no choice but to move to Fantrax.

    I cannot express in words how incredibly stupid this is. Who at Yahoo made this monumentally asinine decision? Whoever it was, they should be fired.

    Have you ever seen the the Steve Carrell movie the 40 yr. Old Virgin? The Scene where the kid tries to buy the boots at the Ebay store - but the owner of the store tells him he cant pay for them in the store, he has to go online to EBAY buy them? This is that - only in reverse.

    Hey! Come to the League Page to do everything you want - EXCEPT interact with the League. If you want to interact with the league - you have to go somewhere else. We want you and your friends to get a league together and use our site, just don't actually interact with each other while you are on our site - go somewhere else for that..

    Moronic.

    If I have to go somewhere else other than the league page - maybe we'lll just take the whole league to another site.

    Now that I think about it....IF THAT was the strategy here - get people to rage quit Yahoo Fantasy so you can shut down the site - then the person who came up with the strategy should get a promotion for how successful this is going to be for Yahoo.

    the message boards are a very important way for the league to communicate with each other. The convenience of it being right there and allowing all managers to comment on the topic is second to none. I just don't think the messenger or chat feature will work as well, WISH YOU WOULD BRING IT BACK

    Yahoo mentions that the Commissioner’s Note will remain. However, unlike the Message Board, the Commissioner’s Note is not viewable on mobile devices using the Yahoo Fantasy Sports App. Most users rely on their mobile device.

    Our private league has been with Yahoo for 22 years. We depend on the message board in the way we operate. We have a few members who will never use or can’t use your chat feature.

    Bring back the Message Boards. At least give us a year’s notices so we can go elsewhere.

    Add chat rooms....NOT!!

    Add a chat room[DUMB] to main league page and another between two teams in weekly head to head competition. Allow each league commissioner to opt out during season if managers abused.

    What a joke. Something that is actually used AND is a major component of a lof of leagues, especially dynasty leagues and you losers figured lets cut it to save a few bucks off the bottom line. Here is an improvement for you - stop messing around with something thats not broken. At this point I am recommending all of my commissioners move the league to another platform like Fantrax where they give a **** about thier customers and users.
