[Chat/Message Boards] Message Board Removal Feedback
Feedback regarding the removal of message boards from Fantasy Baseball in the 2023 season.
Fantasy league message boards are not going to be available for the current season however you can still access historical message board posts through your fantasy profile. You can continue to communicate with your league via Fantasy Chat, email and commissioner notes. Moving forward we are investing in chat as the best place for league communication and will be adding threading, pinning, polls and more. We welcome your feedback below about how your league used message boards to help us make future improvements.

I have posted my concerns about you removing the message boards in the very first few pages of which you entirely ignored as I'm thinking why write this if you continue to ignore your users. But here goes,
Since you will not back track your awful and user feedback response to put the message boards back on for this season, do the following:
Allow Fantrax migration and a sync module making it easier for us to end our relationship with yahoo fantasy sports. Since you don't care about us, it shouldn't be a big ask.
Just do the right thing and allow us to sync current and former data. If you can't do the right thing, most of us already understand that you will only make things worse as time goes on and it won't be a surprise to continue to ignore us, but at least have some balls and let your users leave with a positive thing that yahoo did.
Asap would be nice and you will never have to see me post again.
Thank you.

Beyond stupid. Bring it back. Next year I will move to ESPN if it’s not.

Post on this thread too ^^^
Let's push multiple threads about this to the Top 10.
The title of this thread is merely "Removal Feedback"
Getting the title of the thread linked above ("Bring Back Message Boards") into the Top 10 sends a stronger message that Yahoo has intentionally screwed over its users

Message boards are critical for the Commissioner and fellow managers to effectively communicate during the season. How many members of Yahoo Fantasy Baseball do you plan to lose by this misguided decision?

very poor decision on your part. It's been a useful tool for other owners to communicate.

This is useless for a on line site. How can we talk to each other?

I think there's a lot of reasons to have a message board. I've used it when I accidentally dropped a player I didn't mean to drop and the league let me pick him back up because I posted it was mistake. I've used it in the past to document the happenings in the league, journalist style, to add some flavor to a league with friends. You can post polls, joke around, or post anything practical or reminders. It's a good place to float trade requests and keep logs of housekeeping.
Obviously it can be rife so abuse too (like idiots who complain or post tone-deaf rants about their gripes with baseball politics), but so is ANYTHING. A league can be thrown because someone drops their whole roster no matter what you do.
Insane to delete the message boards. What are you thinking Yahoo???

Our fantasy league has never met in person so it is the only way we communicate.

FANTRAX looks like the league most of us are switching to. I've also been advised to investigate a platform called "Sleeper", but FanTrax looks pretty good so far. Our draft is next week so I'll be interested to see what that interface is like in an auction format, but as far as basic site functionality, it's working out really well. If you want to let YAHOO know that this is unacceptable, do what my league did and make the jump to FANTRAX!

As a long time keeper league, I have to say...it's really ******* annoying that the message boards are gone. Scheduling a live draft through a mobile app that not everyone uses (because it sucks) is near impossible. Thanks Yahoo. You suck!

Why are you doing this? Why would we want to bother people with emails to their personal accounts every time we want to say something about fantasy baseball?
Put the message boards back. Absolutely ridiculous decision.

Still can't contact league mates (with a suppressed email) to organize a draft because you all took down message boards without a replacement

I have been with you for a long time and played the 3 major sports leagues (right now I have 10 hoops teams and 10 baseball teams w/2 different emails) ...I have stopped playing with others because you do it best but this is a dumb decision and could bit you ********** because taking away for the league to stay connected seems like you are jumping over dollars to pick up quarters

Terrible . We need the message board . We’re losing league members because we can’t communicate on the desktop site .

We used to use message boards for communication but then switched to email and then a group chat. We use GroupMe. Stores pictures; polls; calendar dates for live draft events.
