[Chat/Message Boards] Message Board Removal Feedback
Feedback regarding the removal of message boards from Fantasy Baseball in the 2023 season.
Fantasy league message boards are not going to be available for the current season however you can still access historical message board posts through your fantasy profile. You can continue to communicate with your league via Fantasy Chat, email and commissioner notes. Moving forward we are investing in chat as the best place for league communication and will be adding threading, pinning, polls and more. We welcome your feedback below about how your league used message boards to help us make future improvements.

It looks like our yearly league that has been running for over 10 years is dead now because of the decision to eliminate message boards.
The person responsible for this should not only be fired but completely blacklisted.

really no message board ??????????????????????????????????????????????????

Tom Thompson commented
Our league relies on the message board to discuss issues. Email is too cumbersome and email threads are hard to manage ano/or navigate.

This is the dumbest thing you have done since automatically logging everybody back on without the person doing it their selves this is just crazy & makes zero sense & now there is not a good way to communicate so if your idea was to destroy your own fantasy leagues congrats you have done a excellent job just get off your ***** & put the M.B. back right now before it's too late we still have time to draft in some leagues if you will do this asap otherwise Yahoo kiss my *** & shove your fantasy leagues where the sun does not shine!!!

All of the leagues I have participated in used the message boards for league keeper posts, potential rule change discussions, trade offer ideas and much more. Not having message boards available is a huge step backward.
I cannot find any way to use the chat feature on my computer version of the league or team pages

When will chat be available? Message boards were a common things used during the season. Whether it is a note from the commissioner or trade ideas or just smack talk it was a vital part of the fantasy experience.

Why would you disable league message boards, and not have a web chat interface already set up?
Huge blow to fantasy players in Yahoo. Bunch of idiots....
I have players who do not use the mobile app and relied on these message boards. -
Jeff Roberts commented
Change is fine but you've removed the key tool we use to communiate with each other with no replacement. Baseball has too many stats to use via phone app. Will Fantasy Chat be available for the PC? I've search these pages and have not found an answer.

You clowns have IGNORED hundreds upon hundreds of Yahoo players who have voiced our displeasure at getting rid of the Message Boards. Why have you not returned the feature? Pathetic. You guys are a disgrace. You seek feedback to evaluate the feedback, and then to make changes if necessary. You clowns have ignored the feedback. You are disgraceful.

I really miss the message boards. It's the place we communicate in all of the leagues I am involved in. I really believe this is going to hurt our leagues. Please reconsider this change.

I always like using message board because it's easy and all managers can reply in seconds. I do not provide my e-mail as I wish to keep it private in my leagues and not a big fan of Chat. Please reconsider making this change.

Return them.
Don't fix what's not broken.

It's delaying my other 3 Keeper Leagues. The Message Board was your best and most important feature, specially for Commissioners, but in the end, for all participants. YAHOO Fantasy is committing major self mutilation here.
Just curious: Does this help your bottom line in any way? I mean, what's in it for YAHOO? Do you find participation at this stage of the pre season the same as, better than, or worse than last year?
Also: Can you share a link to Fantasy Chat?

I'm just trying to grasp what you're doing.
You can email a response to me at GusMedRE@AOL.Com or text it to 718-782-0100.

Most important thing is that the same chat is available on all platforms. Right now you can only seemingly access the chat through the app. It must be accessible through desktop as well. Otherwise you're creating more problems than you're solving.

Critical!!!
Our leagues are unique in which we post our franchise players on the Message Board...and we use it weekly for posting our swap of players after a weekly win!...as commissioner of the leagues for the past 18 years this will make it quite difficult to manage our league...serious consideration for changing to a different site. -
Steven Lawson commented
Ugh. Here you go again "fixing" something that was not broken. Message boards served a vital function. Through them we could easily communicate with other managers, making the experience more vibrant not to mention more fun. We could convey concerns, questions, and playful jabs. Now we just have silence--easy to become disengaged. Ugh . . . . going to be a long, boring season.

Our league has decided to move all our communications to a Facebook group. We are doing this on a trial basis and if it seems to be too tedious we will move away to another fantasy site.
If this is part of a strategy to drive people away so you can kill off the fantasy sports division, it's a great first step. I doubt the analysts on your payroll are happy about this decision.

As Commissioner of a private league running 15+ years, this is the worst decision I have ever witnessed by yahoo. Message boards are integral for our league. I use it for various long form write-ups such as league rules, payout information, monthly recaps, and end of season awards. League chat is not the appropriate tool for important info and long form write ups. Getting rid of message boards significantly detracts from our experience. I don’t care if it’s removed for public leagues, but we need them for private leagues. Please bring them back ASAP.

The message board is really important! I demand the reinstall of it! Now I will see other options like fantrax bc of this awful yahoo decision.

this was an easy place to communicate with the league and show rules within the league...makes no sense for you guys to remove them, other than to force more to use the app and chat and is only pushing yahoo further away from being a leader in fantasy sports...fantrax much better equipped for our leagues with changes like this.
