  1. Stop offensive and intrusive advertising

    I am being victimised with bad-taste advertising for internet dating that repeatedly appears at the top of the Yahoo! app inbox in my phone. I have no way to erase these adverts that are offensive and harassing to me as a 77 year old pensioner.
    Please clean up your act.

    Most of the adverts and 'stories' shown on the home page are scams, phishing sites or virus spreaders. Doesn't Yahoo vet the adverts on its homepage?

    Hi, Yahoo finance ads being shown multiple times on every page. The ads show at least 10 times on every single page and email. When closed and feed back submitted: Seen multiple times, the adverts reopen again and again. It is the same ad and it shows 50 times on every singe yahoo page. DO you not think it is unreasonable? It feels like being harassed and the advert is being absolutely hated as it interrupts every single sentence. Why does the same advert need to be shown so many times and reopen 2 seconds after it is being closed?…

    Hi, The ad that comes up wendyclarke.co for jewellery is a scam and it really annoys me how I can't seem to delete or change the advert to another one. Please try and block this scam ad and protect your yahoo mail community. Kind regards, Emily Hibbert

    Yahoo approved advert said I had a virus detected by McAfee and to click on a link to sort it - I don't have McAfee, clearly a malicious/malware ad

  15. Only allow proven organisations to advertise on your site. Report offenders to the police.

    On about 3 previous occasions I have clicked on ADS, that quickly turn into a series of messages on my screen saying my computer had been - taken over. The first time I quickly switched off my laptop, without closing it down first. Luckily this got rid of the problem and I did this subsequently.
    This needs to be looked into and stopped as people must be being caught out by this. The offending ads tend to be independent, sensational (to attract people to click on them).

  16. Allow me to block ads from my email lists that I consider distasteful and upsetting

    Persistent ads about cremations and funerals are very depressing. I don't need to see these and, I suspect, nor do many users. I am OK to receive ads but cheerful ones. Unless there is a way of stopping these (FOC) I will shift my email usage to a different provider.

    I always thought yahoo ads were tailored to their subscribers' online activity so I wonder why I, as a 78 year old married woman, keeps getting ads for dating sites? Also how many times do I have to delete an ad before I stop receiving it?
