Brett Favre's bleating about politics in sports is rank with privilege, ignorance and hypocrisy
This article was the one that was bigoted and filled with hatred.
• Can’t Farve voice an opinion.
• I did not see or hear white privilege.
• I heard someone that wrote this article that only wants from others to hear and see the world the way they want it and agrees with them.
• I did not see one anti minority statement.
• If whites are so white and don't like blacks then why when 99% of basketball players are black is the coliseums that they are filled with whites wearing their jerseys, buying their shoes and so forth? Why if football is 70% black are those stadiums filled with whites also wearing their jerseys and having their pictures hanging up in their houses?
• How does your writer know what Farve is thinking? He said what he was thinking and feeling and to go beyond that is all made up lies by the writer as no one can know what another is thinking.
• Farve did not say they did it during the game but your desire to rip him apart indicates that is what he said. Most of us turn the game on before the game actually starts and don't want to see the Politics or racism or the kneeling we want to see purely the sport. Let them do that protesting on their own dime and time. In fact after the game take their millions and time and spend it helping to make changes. I don't want to see them doing that nor wearing pro democrat or republican shirts either.
• The world is not so black and white as you are trying to make it, most all whites are not raciest, some sure are and some blacks sure are. in fact according to surveys more backs are raciest then whites.
• Where is the hypocrisy? Not wanting politics on the field and showing ones private parts and not comparable. I think showing private parts was stupid and he said it was also and has apologized for that, yet you still use it against him? Then why apologize?
• I would love to hear your words and read everything you ever wrote and see every aspect of your life as we see of top sports people or politicians. I wonder how squeaky clean you would look; please use the same filter on yourself as you do others.
• In your 8th paragraph you miss used the word intimated.
• Again you keep trying to draw parallels that don't exist; politics and the celebration of Jackie Robinson playing baseball is not the same. Politics is politics what Jackie Robinson did he did without kneeling, wearing political shirts or thrusting is fist into the air, he broke into an all-white game; made history by being a good person, a great athlete and broke through and played Baseball (That is History not politics, no politics were involved there were no massive protest burning of cities walkouts sit outs or anything it was done by the owners free will) any more than the first monkey, man in space or woman in space or black or minority is not politics it is history!
• If you don't want or like opinions of others then don't you voice your opinion either. Just use facts.
• Why can’t Farve spew his views, you do?
• Again poor writing, you used the word equity vs equality.
• Why does Farves financials have anything to do with being raciest you just throw everything into the pot.
• If you want to write factually about what Farve has done wrong then write that, don't combine it with being raciest or white privilege, those are separate issues. I wonder how you keep this job.
• You are just all over the board so what does Farve getting paid illegally have to do with Backs impoverishment. So all rich black players have never done anything illegal or improper? Or are you just biased yourself?
• So now Farve is responsible for minimum wage? Somehow minimum wage also makes him raciest? You have no ends or rules how to tie him in and fault him of everything. The minimum wage is just that, it’s a starting wage not meant to be a living wage, it’s an incentive to stay in school and get an education, to stay out of minimum wage. I bet Farve at one time in his life worked for minimum, wage as we all have.
• Yep blacks are denied mortgages at higher rates because they don't qualify. They should not be approved because they are black or disapproved and if they are denied mortgages unfairly they can sue and win millions.
• Well you bring up history; I believe it was whites and the Republican Party that fought for the blacks in the civil war. How many hundreds of thousands of whites died for blacks; 850,000 and 40,000 blacks died? Maybe whites should be paid appropriations for fighting and dying for blacks.
• Blacks were not slaved for near as long as Jews (500 years) and Jews are white and still attacked and killed and I don't see them kneeingl, protesting and burning cities down when they are killed by Jew haters.
• Slavery has been part of the world since humanity has begun. No that does not make it right but that is a fact. Blacks had black *****’s way, way before America did and blacks captured and sold their own as slaves to America. They should have protested then and fought against it then and stopped all black importation in to the US. Now you will say that is raciest. Well you can’t have it both ways. If there was no slavery there would be almost no blacks in the US and the rest of the world today.
• Even the poorest of blacks in the US do not live anywhere near the poverty of other nations. Because of slavery blacks have had opportunities here they would never of had in Africa, yet they complain. That is not saying I agree with slavery but out of the bad has come unbelievable and unprecedented opportunity.
• You say Farve should go live with poor families. How about blacks go live in Africa with poor families there to see how they could be living.
• Blacks were not the only slaves in the US and all the others have moved on.
• Farve is not the only person that has a separate locker room, or any other special privilege that he bargained for and got; remember he did not give it to himself nor did other players, actors, actresses, politicians and so forth, many have used their money status and privilege no matter what color to get things others can’t so don't just point out Farve.
• You are so biased and filled with hate, it is what keeps fueling the problems we have.
