Why change something that was working?
Yahoo was based on links to popular pages and stories. MyYahoo allowed users to customize the feeds they received from Yahoo. Now Yahoo is illiminated the unique feather that kept people using Yahoo.
There used to be Schlitz beer. It was very popular. They changed their brewing formula and were subsequently purchased by Pabst Schlitz beer while still around in small quantities lost their position in the marketplace and have never recovered. There is a lesson for Yahoo business.
