the folder names are no recognisable as the window is too narrow
I name each folder by year and name. And I add "0" in front if they are current and easy to see, without scrolling.By the way since I have you technical staff available I have another complaint.
As you can see I use 0 plus year for items at the top of the folder list. If I no longer need to access it readily I remove the "0" and the folder moves down in your alphanumeric listing, see second attachment.
But if I have subfolders I cannot rename the folder, which I could do several years earlier. Please change the limitation to folder name change with sub-folders. -

You used to be able to drag and drop mail folders from one to another. this facility seesm to have been stopped making it much harder to archive folders together. An example is I have a 'past holidays folder' where I like to keep all the mails that come with a holiday these days. I have a folder for each holiday I go on and use to be able, once the holiday was over, put the whole folder into this other folder. This doesn't work anymore which make it harder to organise and Archie mail folders. not sure why this retrograde step has happened.

The ability to "move" folders is an essential part of any sort of structure. Why has Yahoo Mail removed the "move" option. When the "move" function is reinstated, don't forget to link the corresponding change in "filters"!!

Did Yahoo email developers go back to the beginning of time and design this "new" email version????
There is no longer drag and drop. We have to browse to the folder to attach files now? Just like we had to do 25 years ago??????
What did you do go to elementary school and hire your developers?????

Haha, I was able to switch to basic, click the settings gear by my email address, rename the folder I wanted, then switch back to the new email. Freak you, yahoo. !

Drag and drop was invented 50 years ago. Renaming folders 49 years ago. Come on.

Inexplicably, the function to move folders was removed - this makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. Restore the ability to move a folder to be a subfolder of a higher level folder.

How is someone supposed to manage folders? I can't rename folders with subfolders, and neither move existing folders to other locations. This is terrible, can't be used for anything serious.

I have mail file folders for cases I have. Each file folder has all the emails in it related to that specific case. When I close a case, is there anyway I can move the entire folder (and all its contents) into another file folder, such as a folder called Old Cases. Moving multitudes of emails is a hassle versus just dragging and drop a folder into a subfolder. Thanks.

Use of folders should be much more intuitive. It really is cumbersome. Not being able to move folders to sub folders, rename any folders with mail in them etc etc. There is no drag and drop facility and no right click option to "move" as the help forums I've looked at suggest. I'm really loyal to yahoo but this feature will be the end of me. I'm a Mac user - is that the issue? Non compatibility?

Why did you take away the option to move folders? I operate a small business by myself and I frequently move client folders around, depending on the status of the project. As the names of the folders need to be retained, I can't even make a new folder to easily move all the emails. Instead, I now have to move ALL the emails in the folder (sometimes hundreds) to my inbox, delete the old folder, and then make a new one. I then have to weed through my inbox to select the (sometimes hundreds) messages and move it to the new folder.
This has hurt my productivity and I can see no good reason for removing this option. Looking into other email clients because this is ridiculous. -

Absolutely agree, I find the current system VERY frustrating!

I also wish this were an option. As is, the folders are fine until I want to consolidate them into a single folder or move them into subfolders. This isn't rocket science and should be doable from Yahoo's end.

Hello, I want to be able to move folders not just delete them. I file work by project, once I have completed a project I want to move it but keep the information for future reference.

Suppose it gives better management with the folder-subfolder concept. But I can't move the existing folder under another folder as a subfolder. In this case, I have to move all the mails inside the existing folder to a new subfolder. Very inefficient design.
In fact, it brings up another problem. One of my folder has over thousand emails. I can't move all of them out since it couldn't list them all in that folder. After moved out hundreds, there is always only one left but showing 999 remaining. -
