The 1st Ranked comment is from all of us BEGGING you to give us our old email back and you say: "We continually strive to improve and upgrade our products to make them even more useful to our members." How can I Possibly say this so you'll understand? Someday I hope you take your car in for an oil change, and the mechanic tells you he's upgrading you to a whole new engine that won't have as much power, is not as reliable, and gets worse MPG. When you tell him you were perfectly happy with the old engine and just to do the oil change. He'll say, "By the way, You owe us for the new motor."

New format email is terrible. I have had it before and hated it. Prefer it to the new format. There used to be a method to change it to classic. All Yahoo Mail users should have a choice between the new email and classic. Please fix it back.

*I'll start on a positive note (and there are very few): *The ONLY GOOD thing about New Mail it is the ability to create sub-folders. Aside from that:
Yahoo is jumping on the bandwagon of having TOO CLUTTERED of any interface, with TOO many useless features. In my opinion, yahoo is still better than most... but the sad reality is: whatever the category of life, the seems to be a trend over the past 10 years or so of web-portal vendors to have this need to compete with each other in terms of who can build the greatest number of features. As such, whether it is checking email, or using facebook, or online shopping, or what have you, I've found that the end user is INUNDATED with a billion and one features, 99.9% of which are useless... to make matters worse, what I consider BASIC CORE functions/features become lost, more difficult, or non-existent with "the latest and greatest" version. Yahoo (and 99.9% of vendors should remember a few basics like KISS (keep it simple ****) and QUALITY OVER QUANTITY of the features.

This new design that you have forced on everyone is just so horrible, that I can't stand to even open my email. It is ugly to look at and is not user friendly. The original classic design was so much better. You improved nothing with this new design, you just made it worse. Time to start looking for a new email option, because I'm done with Yahoo.

I have 25 professional years in IT. I have had a Yahoo email account since the day Yahoo started providing email. Yahoo reached the top of the mountain with what they now call the Classic Version when they came out with this piece of s**t. I'm so ****** that a-holes f**ked up what was the best online email since I came online in 1995 as an MCSE. And the a-holes probably don't use Yahoo email, and if they do It's the companies internal email which is different than what they are shoving down our throats. They probably use the Classic until they see how this opens out and if it doesn't!...Well, no skin off their ***! They didn't even consult those that this would effect the most.
I'll bet that the team that decided that this was a good idea are under 35. They don't know what boycotting advertisers is! They aren't old enough to know! -

On 5/23/2019 after Yahoo took away my email CLASSIC for this new and unimproved new format email my Calendar would not load because of an error. After further investigation found that the Notepad has the same error. What I get is
“We're experiencing some technical difficulties...
We’re sorry, but Yahoo Mail can't load due to a temporary error. You can try back again shortly, or visit our help pages for ways to troubleshoot the issue.
• Try again
• Visit Help for troubleshooting instructions
Temporary error: 500”I clicked on “Try again” and “Visit Help for troubleshooting instructions” and end up each going to the “We're experiencing some technical difficulties...” page again and again and again. What is Yahoo’s definition of Temporary error? Well it’s not a day so is it a week a month a year!
Give me back the CLASSIC email or I’ll send this every day until I find a new email service that fits my needs as this new email format doesn’t or I don’t have internet access.

I really did not want to change. I was happy with my old version but was continually pushed to upgrade. Frustrating!!!! In the new one there are not enough background options and the ones that are there are plain and uninspiring.
