How do I get rid of this hollow text that is hard to read?
Stop messing with formats - or leave it to the user to decide what changes they want. -

Funny how Yahoo seems to think we want this new format but over 18000 feel differently. You would think with that many unhappy customers Yahoo would do something about it.

At over 18,000 comments and the top rank in your voting, it appears that your New Mail is *not* 'even more useful to your members'. Instead of moving products forward for the sake of looking useful, have you considered whether there's any actual NEED? Sounds like a whole lot of users don't think so. Get rid of the garish themes, put our accustomed icons back at the top, and stop trying to be Gmail. If I wanted their service, I'd use it (I actually do, and find it inferior). Tinker with the back end if you have to, but give us the Classic Yahoo experience.

Yesterday 5/23/2019 after Yahoo took away my email CLASSIC for this new and unimproved new format email my Calendar would not load because of an error. After further investigation found that the Notepad has the same error. What I get is
“We're experiencing some technical difficulties...
We’re sorry, but Yahoo Mail can't load due to a temporary error. You can try back again shortly, or visit our help pages for ways to troubleshoot the issue.
• Try again
• Visit Help for troubleshooting instructions
Temporary error: 500”I clicked on “Try again” and “Visit Help for troubleshooting instructions” and end up each going to the “We're experiencing some technical difficulties...” page again and again and again. What is Yahoo’s definition of Temporary error? Well it’s not a day so is it a week a month a year!
Give me back the CLASSIC email or I’ll send this every day until I find a new email service that fits my needs as this new email format doesn’t or I don’t have internet access.

1) DON'T FOIST A NEW FORMAT ON ME. 2)LET YOUR CUSTOMERS DECIDE WHETHER THEY WANT TO WASTE THEIR TIME RELEARNING THEIR MAIL SYSTEM WITH YOUR NEW, USER MALEVOLENT SYSTEM. 3) REDESIGN THE FONTS IF YOU MUST BUT LEAVE THE TABS, BUTTONS AND FUNCTIONS AS THEY ARE

What showy ****! All those pretty images representing friends (mostly just letters) taking up space -- totally unnecessary and distracting. There is nothing else that isn't unnecessary change for change's sake. If you must insert ads into my incoming mail list I could actually live with that. But otherwise I prefer the simplicity of the old format. ~~Peter
