I want to thank Yahoo for listening and fixing two of the annoying problems I encountered. Rather than leaving Yahoo, after almost 25 years, I will stay and try the new email for awhile longer.

On your old email things were more compact and I didn't have to scroll down. On the new "Update" I do have to scroll down.Updates should improve a service not go backwards. I have been with Yahoo for many years and haven't see what I call an actual IMPROVEMENT yet. I have pretty much moved to other email services as don't trust you "improvements" not to ***** thing up totally.

The NEW format is causing eye-strain!!! I was very happy using my paid Yahoo email account. The background message colors were soothing. Now it's either dark with white lettering or ALL white!! I don't understand WHY we either can't choose to continue using the old format! AWFUL!

To do list:
1. Transfer my old Yahoo Mail to my hard drive
2. Try gmail
3. Try several other email providers
4. Forget about Yahoo Mail -

The classic was a good format. Every time you try to "improve" it's a step backwards.

Now what is this garbage about “Your timezone is not consistent with your computer’s timezone”.
Maybe I should back up on what has happened.
1. My email address has been on this same computer for over three (3) years when the time was set per Microsoft Windows on a right out of the box new computer.
2. At the time I had Yahoo CLASSIC Mail and nothing was said. That’s because it was smart.
3. You switched my Yahoo CLASSIC Mail (that worked GREAT) to your New Yahoo Mail (that doesn’t work great) two (2) days ago and now I’m told my timezone and computer timezone is not the same (New Yahoo Mail not so smart). How do I know that if I click on the “Update time zone” is for real? Did someone hack into this New Yahoo Mail already so when I click on it that “Update time zone” I get a virus, worm or someone takes over my computer?!?!?!?
I learned that misspelled words are a clue that someone is trying to pull a fast one whether it be Spam, Scam, virus or whatever. So what tipped me off on this is on my New Yahoo Mail home page at the bottom left corner has “time zone” and in the Settings – More Settings – View email it has “timezone” twice. Am I going to click on “Update time zone”, I don’t think so it may harm my computer. To fix this problem of it might be or not be a hack into this New Yahoo Mail is to give everyone back the Yahoo CLASSIC Mail that wasn’t a broken wheel. Yahoo CLASSIC Mail ran like a fine tuned engine not like a computer with no RAM or like the New Yahoo Mail.
Yahoo CLASSIC Mail is still the best in class mail.
Yahoo New Mail is so far is not rated to be mail. -

Just let us pick if we want to use the old format. This new format ******* big time. Way harder to read and looks really cluttered. Hate it to no end.

The only way I'll be happy is to be switched back to the former format. New format may work well for smart phone users, but we all don't have smart phones and us the old fashion P.C. hard drives. Waiting to be returned to the original format.

Yesterday 5/23/2019 after Yahoo took away my email CLASSIC for this new and unimproved new format email my Calendar would not load because of an error. After further investigation found that the Notepad has the same error. What I get is
“We're experiencing some technical difficulties...
We’re sorry, but Yahoo Mail can't load due to a temporary error. You can try back again shortly, or visit our help pages for ways to troubleshoot the issue.
• Try again
• Visit Help for troubleshooting instructions
Temporary error: 500”I clicked on “Try again” and “Visit Help for troubleshooting instructions” and end up each going to the “We're experiencing some technical difficulties...” page again and again and again. What is Yahoo’s definition of Temporary error? Well it’s not a day so is it a week a month a year!
Give me back the CLASSIC email or I’ll send this every day until I find a new email service that fits my needs as this new email format doesn’t or I don’t have internet access.

Add me to the list of users who simply cannot stand the new email design. It looks ugly and is far less customizable than the classic version. Add to that the fact that the other components in the new version (calendar, contacts, notepad, news feed) are not properly integrated with the mail component at all, unlike in the classic version where they are, and it's clear this new version isn't even half-baked, so it shouldn't be forced on users. I've honestly tried several times to switch to it to give it a go, but each time just had to go back to the classic version. Why the forced 'upgrade' when clearly the vast majority isn't in favor of it? Please listen to your users, put the plan to 'upgrade' on hold, and get the people responsible for designing it to either take it back to the drawing board.
