Why not add a 'like' button?
I think it would revolutionise email if there was a 'like' button so you could acknowledge receipt of an email without having to formally reply.
Just like Facebook messenger's 'thumbs up' it could be used to effectively but politely end a conversation too.
I would use it a lot - surely I'm not alone?
