Where did the "sign out" button go?! How do I sign out from Mail?

Bad idea! Did anyone really try using this proposed new format before hitting us with it?!

    A few days ago, the log out button disappeared. I do NOT wish to be permanently logged onto my email account. It used to appear under my personal icon, but that is also gone.
