Verify whether you want to reply to yourself when replying to an email you sent
It looks like the problem has been noted before in https://yahoo.uservoice.com/forums/600772-new-mail/suggestions/32535493-reply-button https://yahoo.uservoice.com/forums/600772-new-mail/suggestions/33369142-reply-to-original-message and https://yahoo.uservoice.com/forums/600772-new-mail/suggestions/33225709-when-you-hit-reply-it-should-auto-select-the-per but appears we can't vote or comment on any of those because those have been "reviewed"?
Problem description: if the last message in a thread was you responding to someone, then the reply button that you see when you load the message inadvertently is then to your respond to own message... and thus send yourself an email.
Today for the third or fourth time I've fallen into thinking I've responded but haven't because of that, and it's proven costly. And glad to see I'm not the anyone making this mistake.
Rather than change the default action, couldn't you have a popup verify whether we really do intend to respond to our own email address rather than to someone else? I'd think it would be as easy as a single check in the script when you hit send seeing if email target = your address... and if so a little verification popup (much like how it does when you try to send an email without a subject)?
Do you guys (Yahoo team) have any feedback on why this will be difficult or won't fit your UX? Or could you leave the request open to at least allow comments/votes? Thanks much :-)
