How can we improve New Mail?

Can put up with advertising but will NOT put up with intrusive sound to force an upgrade. CAN IT!!!!

Can put up with advertising but will NOT put up with intrusive sound to force an upgrade. CAN IT!!!! If I have to pay for a mail service I'll avoid Yahoo because of this vicious approach to users.
