January 1, 2020) Kris Mass – IV. Holy Innocents (partial)
… Following the week that was of almost not seeing Jan outside class, Krisnel showed me in the library how she was able to verify that Jan was there on the last day. With detailed account and record of what happened, I noticed how methodical she was with verification. She related being meticulous with verification to what happened since the beginning of her first year at DLSU-M: a household member seeing her within 5-10 minutes or maybe less twice entering their residential house, twice leaving their residential house, and twice entering a residential house room which she did not. This is what she told me as response to these three incidences: In case someone was imitating her for an intended criminal act, she would always keep a record for proof using mobile phone whenever possible of her whereabouts. Because of these three incidences she remembered in the library that shifted our discourse from behavior of Jan to wish after death. In case she might be killed by the 2009 great flooding of our intuition, she preferred to stay after death for some time to have a “forensic” of what happened as a preparation to maintain innocence and hopefully not ignorance when to be questioned by the souls not also surviving on the great flood. We had laughter for most of the time in the library but kept our voices not disturbing others near us. I laughed because she might be seen as a dead person walking within the area where she died, possibly by gifted people called having “*********”. I laughed because she might realize that it was soul of a person perceived as herself during the three incidences, possibly of a person identical as a “look-alike”. She believed that valuing her life means valuing her death, making our conversation interesting as she would agree with what my father had told me: the memorial of the person who died is best celebrated by attending the Mass of the Creator, not the grave of the masses. She also agreed with the preference of my father: visiting the dead loved ones on the funeral as sufficient, one year after death as an equivalent or added to what is sufficient, the reason is that only the Creator remembered in the Mass can protect the created persons from harm caused by evil spirits and the dead may serve only as inspiration for the living….
