MAKE IT IMPOSSIBLE FOR SCAMMERS TO ACCESS ONE'S EMAIL VIA USE OF THEIR FRIENDS' AND CONTACTS' LIST
Sort of weird the amount of security required just to log in to one's own account after 27 years of having the same Yahoo mail account. I put Norton antivirus on my other computer but the one I a writing from runs Linux which cannot run Norton antivirus, so I don't think that is the issue. The whole internet security thing has gotten ridiculous with the number of steps one has to go through to login in. Why not change your systems framework instead? People are being scammed right and left, including my son, who was taken for around $60,000 by someone posing as a"friend" via Yahoo mail. How can someone use someone else's email address to gain access to a Yahoo mail user? IF YAHOO WANTS TO IMPROVE MAIL SECURITY THAT IS THE FIRST THING THEY NEED TO FOCUS ON. Change the access point THERE, at the point of entry, rather than making millions of users jump through more and more hoops just to log in.
