    The inbox folder shows all the messages you received (read and unread alike) whereas the unread folder shows only emails that are unread.

    Please be sure you click on the settings wheel in Mail, not in Help. We have found that some users are trying to make the change to switchback to classic Mail in help.yahoo.com rather than in Mail.yahoo.com. You will not find the option to switchback in Help. You will find it in Mail.

  5. Mail gets worse not better. Now when I click to open an email, the system bounces, changes order so if I double click, I open the wrong one.

  6. Deleted content i wanted

    How about get all my saved emails and photos back..my brother is dead now..and my son won't ever be a baby again...tons of stuff I wanted..all just gone.. I'm soooo upset

    If an account is unused or dormant for 12 months, it is deactivated and its emails are deleted, more info here: https://help.yahoo.com/kb/SLN2018.html

    If this does not apply to you, You can try doing a search or doing an email restore if the email was deleted in the past 7 days.

    In case you are using a mail client such as Outlook or the Native mobile app, emails may be deleted by that third party client. We do recommend accessing your mail via http://yahoo.com or the Yahoo Mail app to avoid this issue.

  7. What the F is wrong with you password system?

    I literally verified my email passw last week and when I went to log in today it didn't recognize the passw THAT WORKED 5 FREAKING DAYS AGO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Before you think I'm computer dummys, I've been working in IT for over 15 years. It's not me! Do you people test this **** before you push it out?

  8. 20 years of email disappeared

    20 years of Email disappeared! I have always had an internet security service monitoring my time online and never had my computer hacked, but Yahoo Mail was hacked repeatedly and Yahoo forced us to change our passwords after they learned they had been hacked. Yahoo would not let me reuse a prior password each time they reported their security had been breached and demanded we create a new one. So often this occurred, I had forgotten to record my most recently adopted password.

    Today I was able to reinstate my unforgettable password and gain access to my Yahoo Mail account…

  10. Beware of phishing scam

    I just want to alert you that there is an email going around that I think is a phishing scam. The email is supposedly being sent by ATT and/or Yahoo, but the sender is ****************. It has links that my McAfee anti-virus software says are unsafe.

    Why is it not posible to retreive deleted spam mail. An email that was not spam was in the spam folder and got deleted that should not have now i have no way of getting this important email back.

  13. lost my password.

    One can no longer recover one's password. All that's available is having a code sent to one's phone and then typing in the code. This has locked me out of my netflix account as it keeps asking for my yahoo password (it's linked to my yahoo account.) I am in the process of moving all of my important email out of yahoo and into gmail. Then I will close this account. Extraordinarily stupid, not to mention it's discriminatory towards people without smart phones (like my mother).

  15. what do you do to delete emails when you can't delete them anymore,they will open but can't be deleted,just started this Dec.26th 2019.Help!

    I don't have an Idea I have a problem that's not listed on anything Yahoo describes. Maybe I'm the first but I can.t delete any mail now. It just keeps building up. It doesn't even show it as being read once read. Help Please.

  16. NEED OPTION TO DELETE STORED HISTORY OF RECENT ACTIVITY

    Hi, this is about one's Yahoo Account Info/Recent Activity (accessed from upper right menu in Mail)

    Most important, need option to delete stored history under Yahoo Account Info/Recent Activity

    I see it stores activity indefinitely, going back a decade in my case

    Nobody likes private history stored indefinitely on server w/o their control of the data

    For security reasons, it isn’t possible to update or change the date of birth listed on your Yahoo account, even if you entered it incorrectly when you first registered your account. You’ll need to open a new account if you’d like your account to reflect your accurate info.

  19. phone app

    The new phone app takes forever to load on my Galaxy 7 and when it finally loads, the messages are 5 hrs old. To get new messages, I have to constantly swipe from the top down, wait for the circle, then finally I can get a message that is recent. I would like my old app back please. Also, there is no HELP in the app on the phone.

    Please try uninstalling and reinstalling the app. If the issue persists, try switching from WiFi to Mobile data. If you still see loading issues, please use the “give feedback” option in the app (tap on your profile picture and scroll a bit down) to send this to our engineers directly.

    who have you the right to show my phone number/??? i have never connected my email account with any personal info!!! thsi is a violation of my personal info and have reported it!!
