Stop making me verify email and phone num,ber all the time! Quit asking if I want to add another email or phone number to verify my account
Stop making me verify my account with email or phone codes all the time and quit asking if I want to add another phone number or email!

If there’s something unusual about your sign in or recent activity, we’ll ask you to go through another verification step after you’ve entered the correct password. This helps protect your account from unauthorized access. You may be prompted to get a verification code on your Yahoo app, recovery phone number, or recovery email address for any of the following reasons:

Really? Why do you insist every time I log in that I need to get a verification code. i just signed in 5 hours ago and now you are sending another verification code when I am using the same computer and same network? This is sheer harassment. I DO NOT own a ell phone. I have to jump through so many hoops to get into the email I have had for close to 20 years!!!!!! Then you say we have to use the Help page you have? That is a joke -- a real JOKE. It does not help whatsoever. I know the password, I used the same computer. I used the same network. I had to log out to do something else and when I tried to log back in, I had to go through the verification code process.... and I do not have 2 factor turned on. NO-ONE used my computer. Give me a break. You are not protecting my account. You are forcing me to call your support line which costs money.
And on top of that you got rid of forwarding. Big tech run by zealots at this point. No this is not protection. This is your CYA strategy and a form of harassment. I contacted another email provider to see what their policy is. The only time they will send verification codes is when someone forgets their password. They will honor the absence of 2 factor.
Yahoo, you need to honor it when someone does not want 2 factor. I tell people to NEVER have any confidential info in their emails since these "free" email platforms scrape our emails.

At this point I will be looking for other email systems even though I have been with Yahoo for a long time. Yahoo is not helpful. Does not provide customer service and does not honor the preferences. They force 2 factor even though a person does not want 2 factor -- not everyone owns a cell phone!

Stop those verification codes if someone does not have 2 factor setup. Honor that piece. I DO NOT own a cell phone. Verification codes go to an email that just like Yahoo, wants a verification code. So if I am at the library I cannot get into my own accounts. None of them. So stop it. You say it is for protection. This is not protection. This is a way for you to scam people into calling your support line.
In a previous answer you said to to the help section for login issues. That HELP page is ZERO help. This is getting beyond ridiculous.
Even today, I had to find an email I could still get into to log in. That's after I have already been to my Yahoo email yesterday, the day before yesterday and even today using the SAME computer on the SAME network. This continual verification codes each time is beyond CYA it is a form of harassment. -

STOP it already Yahoo. Yes I clear out my cache every session. I have to. Stop asking me to verify who I am every time I try to log into my Yahoo account. I cannot count the number of times this has caused severe problems for me and has wasted hours while I try to get into the other email to get my verification code. You are not protecting me. You are trying to sell your tech support. If a customer does not want 2 factor authentication, respect that. Asking for a verification code only hampers the user who needs to respond to emails in a timely manner. I now tell people to stay away from Yahoo and Gmail because you force us to do verification codes. This is not protection -- this is your way to frustrate your users. STOP WITH THOSE verification codes. By the way, I do not own a cell phone. so STOP IT.
Your response to look at your help center is anything but helpful. Are you forcing us to buy your services? That's terrible.

I thoroughly agree with you. This is beyond ridiculous. They should only ask for verification IF you have having problems logging in -- like forgetting a password. I also noticed that they only give you one chance to type your password before trying to lock you out of your account. Wonder if they are doing that to sell their paid customer support.....

if you don't stop asking me to verify it's me every time I try to login,
I'm going to delete my account. I'm fed up with you. Either stop it or I'll stop it for you.

It is becoming impossible to log into Yahoo Mail unless you stay glued to your chair at home. Anywhere else, my phone is being identified as "a new device". I gave up all my privacy to avoid this (cookie settings, all the gates are basically open) but to no avail. There used to be security questions, but now Yahoo gives only one option after asking "if it's really you": log into another Yahoo account to which it sends you a code. Not a viable option, since it's not possible to log into that account either, for the same reason ("is it really you?", without any possibility for the user to confirm that yes, it's really me).
I created my Yahoo account over 25 years ago because it was a fantastic way to receive messages from anyone at any given location, in any part of the world. It has become the opposite of that, all because of "safety concerns". I don't see the use for an email account anymore, if you can only use it if you stay at home. Guess the only way to keep email safe for everyone is to block all access to it. Thank you.

Sir,
Repeatedly asking for a pass code to verify my account. I was little bit annoyed by this. Could you please correct this and would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

on or off. its that simple. do you want 2 step authentication yes or no. it is beyond frustrating. whoever made this up is a domestic terrorist and a threat to public safety when making people do this.

Why am I constantly being asked to wait for an hour when I try to log on because you’re not accepting log-ins. After the hour I have to enter my user name, then my password and then you send a verification code to my recovery email address. I wouldn’t mind if I kept using different devices but I been using the same PC for the past 3+ years. The first time I logged onto Yahoo on this PC I ticked the box that said remember me and for the past 3 years I’ve never had to log in again – over the past week or so I’ve had to log in 2 or 3 times a day even though I ‘m still ticking the remember me box. As my recovery email is for use on a separate device this is inconvenient and may not always be available to me.

I do not use two step verification. I do NOT want to have to go to another mail service to get a code to sign in every time I try to log in. I use a vpn, the ip address will be different every login.
Again, stop making me go get a code every time I want to check my mail !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -

Stop with the OVER verification of my e-mail! You force logged me out of my e-mail, then forced me to verify a second e-mail source. I am SICK of this! I am leaving yahoo if you don't stop messing with our log in's! You are becoming a huge inconvenience and it's taking me too long to have to reverify my e-mail on every "logged out" device then have to reverify a second time on every device to log back in. Why can't they all just talk to each there and be verified once and be done. This is ridiculous yahoo. You have over complicated this and I am fed up.
