Colors/Themes
I did not like the gray background of read e-mails. The unread ones should be bold black as they were previously and the read ones should be on a white or lighter background. It is currently very confusing...

Wait. My previous critical comments were not quite accurate. The more I use the new format, the more I hate it. It's too big and clunky with to many distracting colors and its hard to read and it slows the reading's progress!!!! How could Yahoo possibly think making an email format LESS efficient is a good thing. The user is not on this site to shop or do some casual reading - rather, they want to check emails to get work done quickly and efficiently. Bring back the old version!

I want to make my inbox the design and theme that I want . I DO NOT Want the Sterile Appearance that you have not. When I start up I see my old email Theme settings and then it goes to the new Impersonal looking design. Give us back the old options !!

This "new" look seems archaic. Meaning...the look is as if we've gone back to when email was first developed and the only option available was black & white. We've come a long way. This is bringing back the dark ages. Please give us some options to change this screen!

I was wondering if they had taken away the option to have a colored/styled theme, I thought maybe I was just not looking in the right place in settings. Sad to see that they did. I miss my dark purple mailbox so much :/

The black and white options are too stark and I do not like that background to read my e-mails. It hurts my eyes!

The themes regarding the appearance, is very limited, only 3 choices. All dark, not easy on the eyes, all white nope, also black and white. Why persons do not have the option to choose how thy want to design the appearance of their inbox as before? Or have an option to customize it? This is not appealing at all. I do not even recognize my mailbox any more.

You can change them in the settings. I just miss the colors and themes. I feel like they've decided to take us back to 1990 or something. 'Only plain and bland for you guys now. Nothing else.'

lower contrast means people with weaker eyesight can't read it as well (or at all)

I have been using Yahoo Mail since 2001 and have remained a loyal user for 25 years. However, the recent design change that removed the color customization option is extremely disappointing. The black-and-white theme is not enough—it strains the eyes and worsens the user experience.
If the ability to customize colors is not restored, I will seriously consider switching to another email provider. This change is a downgrade, and bringing back the color options should not be technically challenging. Many users are unhappy with this, and I hope you take action to address it. It is awful, awful awful

The black and white options are too stark and just plain obnoxious. Hurts my eyes! The black is SO depressing.

can we no longer have a colored background?

This looks like 1980 email. Please allow themes again so it is easier on the eyes. This looks terrible and is hard to read.

Allow themes just as was allowed in the past. This looks so barren and uninviting.

Agree! I do not like the new look. I want to change the color too. I do not see any place to customize our Inbox like we could before.
