I like the light appearance but don't like the grayed out box if read in the summary list. I prefer the subject be bolded if unread and unbolded if read.
I'd like the right hand column to stay minimized if I do it once. If I close email and reopen, I want to keep the right hand column for contacts, calendar, etc. to remain minimized. Should be a setting and not just on the email page.
