Let us go back to the basic, paged view.
Sticking adds in the middle of the list while scrolling is a terrible format.
Scrolling forever is awful. I'd rather go through multiple pages so I at least have an idea of how much mail I have. I could also jump back several pages to skip a lot of messages to get to older ones. Now, scroll, short pause, scroll, short pause, scroll, repeat ad nauseum.
