So, when one NFL game ends 45-38 and another NFL game ends 10-7,
you want to reward the DEF that allowed 38 points.
The DEF which allowed 10 points to be scored plainly did its job better. -

You can come close to putting a completion percentage into your league.
Have your Commish add something like +1 for each completion and -1 for each incompletion.
Or, maybe you'd prefer +1.5 or +2 per completion and -1 for each incompletion.
Or, maybe you'd prefer +1 per completion and -.5 per incompletion.
Play with the numbers a bit, and you should find what is right for your league. -

Just have your Commish put in a rule that gives a negative point for a missed FG.

Showing which players on waivers have had a claim placed against them
is telling everyone else which players are worth claiming.
That info should be kept secret to keep other managers
from scumming info from the more active managers. -

This idea doesn't solve much. Your example team would be 6-6 with your change. That still doesn't reflect the record that the "points leader" should have. How can a 6-6 team be in 3rd place in your league? Does your league have just six teams in it?
