Schedule/Scoring Formats - 'All Play'
In this format, every team in the league plays every other team each week. For example, in a 10 team league, a team will play the other 9 teams every week and earn a total of 9 wins and/or losses. Currently, this is not an option for commissioners.

I think the ALL PLAY option would be a great addition to football.

Head to head league to use your weekly total team stats against all teams each week gives you a win loss or tie against each team. Can use odd # of teams for the season. A seven team league would have 6 wins-losses-ties added to their standings each week.

Please add All-Play option to scheduling. Majority of us play in 12 team leagues, and with 14 regular season weeks every team always has to play 3 teams twice. Sometimes you may run into the good team twice, sometimes it's the bad team, either way this can be a disadvantage to said team. All-Play weeks would allow for each team to play one another only once, and play against EVERYONE the other 3 weeks. This should not be standard, but should be an option!

All-Play, with a combination of H2H playoff. Total points as a tiebreaker for playoff position.
This takes the whole bye week advantage out of factor. Teams need to produce consistently against the league. The short football fantasy schedule incorporates too much luck. All-play would reward the most consistent teams during the course of the season. Then convert to a standard playoff.

With the NFL Season expanding by one regular season game, so does the fantasy football season. In 14 team leagues, we have 2 duplicate matchups, meaning teams will plays 2 teams twice during the season. It is not fair at all to those who get lucky with an easy schedule. I am proposing that Yahoo offers an ALL PLAY or BYE option.
If yahoo allows ALL PLAY so that I could set this for weeks 1, and then teams play each other 1 time throughout the season. The All Play option will take the 7th highest scores from that week and give them a Win. And the 7 lowest scorers will get a loss.
If yahoo allows BYE with this option every team will have one week as BYE so that each team play 1 time each other.
Both of the options will provide level playing field with every team.
Please consider adding this feature. I see many people have asked for it in the past and has been ignored. We are just looking to make Yahoo a better platform to play on. Thank you in advance!

There should be two possible "wins" each week: the H2H and then top half of the league score. This softens the scheduling issue of certain teams playing the veterans or newbies multiple times.

Total Points should NEVER be the 1st criteria to settle a tie in a H2H Standard League. Like the name of the League(H2H) that should always be the first tiebreaker option. As of today(12/17/2021) I am ranked 5th behind a team I have beat twice!! If the regular season had ended last week I would have been out of the playoffs. Common sense should tell you that's not right. If the H2H records are 1-1, then the second criteria should be Total Points. Please revisit this unfair tiebreaker criteria and change the order of importance so it is fair for everyone. THANK YOU!

Yeah, StatSmack is terrible. I wish they brought back other options, but I just hope they remove StatSmack going forward.

I've heard of leagues that have two win/losses every week. One win/loss for your head-to-head matchup as we do today, but a second (new) win/loss based on how your team score ranks in the entire league that week. So if your score was 1st through 6th in a 12 team league that week you'd get a win in that second matchup. That way we'd still have the head-to-head component that keeps it exciting week-to-week but even out the matchup luck a bit by rewarding the teams that score the most points even if they had an unlucky matchup.

We have a Fantasy Football League in another platform that supports Rotisserie Fantasy Football. Formerly TQStats and now the company is OnRoto. It would be amazing if Yahoo considered providing this type of league format. We play head to head weekly. Won-Loss is one category. Another category is Passing Yards, Rushing Yards, Receiving Yards, Total Points. Teams are ranked within each category and given a point amount based on the rank. First in a category receives a point amount, such as 10. Second receives 9. Etc. Each teams' points are aggregated. At the end of each week, rankings can change as stats accumulated and individual category rankings are adjusted. At the end of the season, whoever has the highest aggregate ranking, is the champion. Maybe you have a similar system in place already for baseball, although I do not play fantasy baseball.

I am proposing that Yahoo offers an ALL PLAY option so that I could set this for weeks 1-3, and then teams play each other 1 time throughout the season. Seems to be the fairest form of scheduling for a league that doesnt do divisions. The All Play option will take the 6th highest scores from that week and give them a Win. And the 6 lowest scorers will get a loss.

This part of the reports was always the most interesting.
Not only should it be brought back,
it should be available as an optional method to rank teams in a league. -

Each week yo can earn 0, 1, or 2 points in the standings.
You get 1 point if you win your head-to-head match-up.
You get 1 point if you finish in the top half of your league in points scored for that week. This type of scoring evens-out the scheduling quirks that can ruin your season and discrepancies in schedule strength.
It shouldn't be hard to implement.

Despite Yahoo having been a favorite platform of ours for years our league is moving to another site because this functionality does not exist within Yahoo leagues. Definitely would be awesome to see these scoring formats added.

I couldn't agree more. Takes a lot of the luck out of it. More strategic. More trades. More balanced team.

I understand the popularity of 'Head to Head' and the simplicity of it. Rotisserie is very popular for Basketball, Baseball, and Hockey. Why not offer it for Football. 4 Passing categories, 4 Rushing categories, 4 Receiving categories and a 1 Turnover category. This type of scoring would be more strategic and require an individual to have a more balanced team.

I'd prefer to see Yahoo use "All In Play" for league standings.
Have each team play every team in the league every week.
It would be a better solution for the problem that you want to solve.
It would be more fair.
It would eliminate the need for the computer to create a schedule of which team plays which team each week. -

Great idea. Would love to see this as well.

Similar to other fantasy football apps, I would love if Yahoo offered a scoring option for leagues to offer an All-Play/Head-to-Head Hybrid scoring option.
This would allow each team to play 2 games everyweek. You would get a Win or Loss versus your Opponent, and you would get a Win or Loss versus the league average.
Overall this allows a more diverse layer of fantasy scoring and produces potentially fairer outcomes in the regular season.
I think in the competitive landscape of fantasy platforms, this feature can be a differentiation tool for Yahoo, and provide more customization for leagues within the platform.
