You guys really took the time to hide the suggestion and even a way to comment on this most requested suggestion. Can't take that much criticism? Tsk...
The new UI is really awful for users on laptop screens, especially when using the layout where the content of the email is displayed on the right side. There's so much wasted white space everywhere. Give us the option to have more compact view for us who don't need touch-friendly UI. The right side pane where you display your ads is atrociously large. The old one is much more compact and smaller which makes it friendly enough for small screen devices.
And why are the themes removed? I only see light and dark mode option but no option for other colors like what Yahoo had for the past 20 years. What a regression! No option for having an image background too like what Outlook and Gmail has. Outlook even has an animated theme as an option and Gmail has cutesy time-based themes too.
The PDF viewer is still not completely functional even in this latest iteration. I can't view PDFs that are password protected. Meanwhile, Gmail has no problem opening those type of PDF unless the said PDF is too large.
What's the use of the top bar above the bar that displays reply, forward, etc.? Why don't we have the option to remove such useless space or at least move the useless icons above the right side pane ad to that empty top bar?
I really miss the classic Yahoo from 20 years ago where everything is just functional, compact, and fast. This new one reeks of "I must update or else I'll lose my job" energy. You could have devoted your resources to improving some features such as the PDF viewer.
Also, where's the close button for emails? The previous UI has that so I don't need to refresh the page if I want to close the email. The new UI doesn't have a close button at all.

A feature that's been there since the classic Yahoo gone with this new update. The new themes (and there are only 2 of them - light and dark) are really sad. Where are the other colors? Where's the option for background images?
And then other email services such as Outlook and Gmail offer a lot of themes, some of them are even animated or changes depending on the time of the day. This new Yahoo sucks so bad in comparison.
