I've seen what a cluster the main Yahoo news message boards are - you post a message, and it's never seen again. That being said, that needs fixed, and this is messed up. This is my 15th year playing Fantasy Baseball. I can count on one finger the time someone was abusive on the message board. There were way more times that it was real community, including expressions of sympathy/concern when someone had a death in the family and had to drop out. I'm sorry you find this hard, Yahoo, but it's what you signed up for, and what we thought we were getting.

I'm not sure what the issue is. This is my 15th year playing Yahoo Fantasy Baseball, and I can't ever recall seeing a league message that was out of line. The chat going away for mock drafts makes sense - there's anonymity there, and I've seen some ugly messages during mock drafts. In a league, you're going to be dealing with these people for six months, so it makes sense to be at least somewhat respectful. I've even seem some messages where someone had a personal problem and had to drop out for a time generate sympathetic responses.

When I see there has been a reaction to a comment I made, I click the link in my email, and it takes me to the posting at the original source (The Hill, NBC News, etc.), not Yahoo, where my comment is. It seems once I submit a comment, everyone can see it but me.
