    As SOoooo many others before me have already stated...PLEASE BRING BACK the comments and thumbs up/down features. Before I continue you should know I've been with Yahoo for AT LEAST TWENTY years, my current DEFAULT personal email kadman59@yahoo.com was my FIRST-EVER personal email account and it remains my #1 personal account. With that said, my "relationship" with Yahoo is now in its THIRD DECADE but at the rate things are going it doesn't look like it will make it to a fourth. Yahoo has made MANY decisions over the decades I've been using its services and I have to say I've DISAGREED with a majority of them. Despite this, I've remained with Yahoo for reasons even I cannot explain. That said, I'd like to think there's perhaps a modicum of appreciation on Yahoo's part for MY loyalty to all things "YAHOO". And with this modicum of appreciation there's perhaps a "willingness" on Yahoo's part to "take to heart" what one of its longest "family" members has to say. As I recall there came a point in somewhat recent time where an increasing majority of the comments being posted under Yahoo News articles became RIFE with animus and outright HATRED. The DIVISION amongst our citizens this occurrence manifested, of our once "United" States of America, was both staggering and frightening! Even worse IMHO is the fact that despite your removal of the comments feature, this division has not only NOT lessened, it has increased. SO...if your hope in removing the comments feature was to stem this overwhelming tidal wave of division, it has failed. IF on the other hand you removed the comments feature for some purpose other than that which you purport it to be...what is it you're saying? "...in the interest of promoting communal harmony..."?, PLEASE DO TELL! Because as I've already said, we're even further away from community "harmony" than we were BEFORE you removed the comments feature. In fact, for this reason and many others as well, PLEASE bring back the comments feature! In bringing it back you WILL reap the benefit of bringing back MANY MANY MANY other "fellow" but now FORMER Yahoo-ers"...!

    By accusing right wing news orgs of “fake news” and refusing to reinstate the comment section only moves Yahoo to the front of the so called “fake news” follies. Your reporters are giving one side of the story. Personally, I have been a Yahoo supporter for 20 years. I am now searching for a neutral site for my news and business reports. How unfortunate.
