Add Starting Pitcher Wins as a category.
Yahoo! already has Relief Wins as a categoryActually, Yahoo! should cover all the bases and add:
-Starting Pitcher Wins
-Starting Pitcher Wins + QS
-Wins + QSToday's game requires that we acknowledge Quality Starts because only the elite pitchers are allowed to pitch long enough in games to even qualify for a Quality Start. Many guys are qualifying for a win but not a QS, so our fantasy leagues should be given the scoring categories flexibility to adapt to the shifts in the real game.
I do like the idea of Wins + QS as a category but I'd want the ability to make it a Starting Pitcher specific category by removing relief wins from the equation. I'm all for leagues that want a basic Wins + QS but if Yahoo! can do that why not also do one that starting pitcher specific as well.

Dee,
At least you got your topic to #1. Yahoo probably hopes that's enough of a win that you'll forget about your actual request just like they have. -

There's an innings pitched minimum, why no max. Just flip the on switch with this Yahoo! The choice of an innings pitched max each week would be a great and important help to our league where people hate it when other managers stream pitchers. Our only counter balance to curtail streaming pitchers is to put an acquasition limit per week. But that's like a sledge hammer for this pitcher specific problem because it makes us have to set our acquasition limit so low that it hurts picking up other players that are not for streaming purposes. In the instances when you have one or more guys go on the IL in a week or guys that just aren't playing but team won't put them on IL , the roster moves that week are critical to stay competitive.
Innings pitched maximum as a league option for Head to Head please.

Yahoo, It's the little things that often count in user experience. Like this suggestion. You can revamp the website layouts and colors and popup modules, but if the details and information displayed in those redesigns are ignored then all of your "redesign" work is time wasted.

Agree. Great point on ending season when you'd like and making a custom schedule. As you mentioned, since one week is such a **** shoot not only a two week championship would be great but my league would love to have a two week semifinal round as well.

I like the idea. Last season we stared using the Continuous Waiver with a Free Agent Acquisition Budget, so we relied on bidding on players over the waiver priority. The waiver priority was still in effect as a tie-breaker for bids of equal amounts. We set our waiver processing to Everyday.
This reduced the number of "last guy up" scenarios but a waiver claim deadline set by the Commissioner could be a very useful tool for each league. -

I like the idea Kelly has. Sounds like a bit of an engineering project for yahoo but hey, what year is it anyway, cars are driving themselves so i think we prob have the capabilities to do three way fantasy baseball trades.
I think another way three way trades could be completed is if teams have to do the leg work on their own via email, in-game chatroom, text message, etc., to verbally agree on a trade. Once a verbal agreement is reached each manager involved will have to open their own multiteam trade request and detail each player's movement from original team to new team. The multi-team trade request from each manager must exactly match the requests of the other managers involved in order for the trade request to be made an official pending trade request at which point It is sent back to each of the managers involved to make sure there are no cold feet, they must make a final confirmation and then finally it gets sent for a vote to the league or commissioner or third party - however it is your league has chosen to evaluate trades - for finally approval or denial.
I'm no programmer but this seems like all yahoo would need to do is open up the ability for three or more teams to communicate at once through the trade function. We may not all have hoverboards, but *******, lets get some three way trades going for goodness sake because the future is now.RC supported this idea ·

Please bring additional scoring categories to the game. Examples: FIP ; K%-BB%/PA (strikout% minus walk% per plate appearances).
There are some avanced metrics that have transitioned from obsucrity to being very mainstream evaluators of players that will provide very meaningful value to fantasy leagues. We have a friends and family league where not everyone is following advanced metrics but some of these "advanced" metrics are not so advanced anymore but just common sense and easily understood.
Please consider bringing these to the game and allow for better league customization.
