[Chat/Message Boards] Message Board Removal Feedback
Feedback regarding the removal of message boards from Fantasy Baseball in the 2023 season.
Fantasy league message boards are not going to be available for the current season however you can still access historical message board posts through your fantasy profile. You can continue to communicate with your league via Fantasy Chat, email and commissioner notes. Moving forward we are investing in chat as the best place for league communication and will be adding threading, pinning, polls and more. We welcome your feedback below about how your league used message boards to help us make future improvements.

Not sure I understand the point of removing the message boards. This is how leagues communicate and yet after all these comments suggesting that it is put back, you have not done so. I guess our feedback really isn't as welcomed as you state or else you would have listened by now.

Message boards have been a critiacl component of communication and fun for the duration of my fantasy football league.

Jeff you said "That said, do people recommend ESPN, CBS Sports, or some other site at this point?"
Seems the lion's share of us have already move to FANTRAX.
Just sign up for an account just like you did at Yahoo. Select a user name and a password and which email you want to use is all you need to fill in. Then just create a new league and copy and paste your old league over there.
FANTRAX is free and 100% better than Yahoo. It ONLY is a fantasy sports platform so it is focused on same and listens to suggestions and has an easy to reach help area where questions and problems are dealt with at warp speed.
Also a completely functioning Message Board among it's many wonders, hahaha.

Yahoo killed our league of 12 years. Private leagues need a message board to communicate!

im not understanding of why the message boards were removed. In long time leagues, especially keeper leagues they are almost necessary

Looks like Yahoo fantasy really needs to put some competent management in place. Horrible product decisions like this and the player card redesign are gonna drive leagues away. Yahoo has been a fantasy sports leader for over 20 years, with many leagues being hosted here for that long - are you really going to let incompetent product management cause this much damage and drive away this much of your loyal user base? PLEASE LISTEN TO YOUR USERS!
That said, do people recommend ESPN, CBS Sports, or some other site at this point? I've hosted all my leagues on Yahoo for decades now, so don't know what the next best (or now much better) options are.

WHY??? How about a reason instead!!! Does yahoo need employment help? The ones who made this decision...need to go.

We moved everything to a different site/app, and so your traffic just plummeted for our leagues. The chat simply cannot accommodate constitutions/drafts/trade announcements/and everything else we do. Sorry.

We used our message board for communication for our keeper league. If people hide their email addresses we cant get a hold of them and they have no idea we are even trying too. This is an incredibly bad decision and whomever made it and thought it was a good idea better rethink this or yahoo will lose its market share to CBS and ESPN esoecially in keeper leagues

Eliminating the message board is a serious downgrade to our league. We used the message board for both serious communication and banter. The chat feature does not seem to be available on the website and is inconveniently located on the app. Plus there is no way that even the Commish can access past emails sent unless I'm missing something. Please consider bringing back the message boards!

We used message boards as a major way of communicating in our keeper leagues, alot easier than searching through emails!

I'm just saying to everyone, if yahoo ever does bring message boards back it won't be this season but as early as next season because of it saying not be available for the current season.

To everyone who thinks it's too late to move to Fantrax or elsewhere, it's definitely not. It's worth the effort. Ending the message boards was a blessing, getting serious fantasy baseball players and leagues off of this platform for good. It was inevitable.

This is a complete disaster. A message board is one of the most important parts of a fantasy league. You guys need a new product manager because whoever decided this should be fired. We will be changing providers next year.

Hey @Yahoo Admin! How much more negative feedback do you need to see until you turn the message boards back on? Not a single positive comment here. Are you even paying attention to this thread? Obviously the message boards are needed and your chat feature idea was terrible. Turn it back on and leave it alone. Please.

Someone said - "I will strongly be advising all of my leagues on Yahoo to use a different site next season (since it's too late to change now)."
It is NOT too late. Just copy and paste your league(s) over to FANTRAX. Piece of cake.

Enjoying the fact that all the feedback is negative, but people keep providing feedback. At this point they are not even reading it. They have made their decision and no amount of "feedback" will make any difference. You want to provide them with feedback they will follow. Leave this site and go somewhere else with your league. At this point we might.

Dont stress changing this back - we've already decided to use another provider.

Did you seriously remove message boards only to enable chat for apps? What about those of us that work from the web browser on a computer? Communication in a league is critical. I don't have a problem with change. That said, change should only occur when you can accommodate your user base. This is not even close to what I could call a minimum viable product (MVP).

All I have to say is removing the message boards has to be the worst decision ever made in Yahoo Fantasy sports. What makes matters even worse is you say you welcome feedback on this issue but nobody has heard a peep from any of the Yahoo big wigs as to why the removal without a alternative means in place that works???
