[Chat/Message Boards] Message Board Removal Feedback
Feedback regarding the removal of message boards from Fantasy Baseball in the 2023 season.
Fantasy league message boards are not going to be available for the current season however you can still access historical message board posts through your fantasy profile. You can continue to communicate with your league via Fantasy Chat, email and commissioner notes. Moving forward we are investing in chat as the best place for league communication and will be adding threading, pinning, polls and more. We welcome your feedback below about how your league used message boards to help us make future improvements.

Why? What good does this do? Bring back the message board!

Very opposed. Yahoo provided a perfect way to communicate -- the message board -- and now removes it? It makes no sense to me. I would think with the fierce competition Yahoo faces in Fantasy Baseball, e.g., CBS, ESPN, Fantrax et al, you would try to appease your fan base, not alienate them as you've done to me. And where ever is Fan Chat even located anyway? If the answer is Facebook, then you will have lost my business for future seasons.

How hard is it to move an entire league? I have seen many good reviews of fantrax.

Horrible idea. Explaing trades, especially in keeper leagues, is a vital part of playing on yahoo...

We always used message board concerning changes in league settings, info concerning trades, communicating with members of the league, general talking about baseball-the MLB season and the Yahoo Fantasy season. Would like to have it back. We can't communicate now since you apparently still don't have the chat thing figured out, we don't have a way of accessing it. How stupid.

p j hicks asked: "How can I delete my 2 teams. Since we don't have a messages board I do not want to play in my league on yahoo"
Simple. In main (black colored) header scroll over "Baseball '23" and select and click on Overview. Your teams are now visible. Click on gray gear "Edit Teams" above them on right. Then simply click on DELETE TEAM.
In other news ... FANTRAX is great. Come join us.

Your fantasy chat is garbage! We use the message board extensively to post trades and communicate with each other. If we have to use another service to commincate we might as well just find another website to host our fantasy pools. Maybe Yahoo should have talked to the actual people that use it before eliminating it.

HOW???
It is critical that you bring back messages for 2023, or else my league will be leaving to Fantrax.

why though? you take it away and don't give a reason. is elon runnin this **** now? glad i dont give you clowns any money

I really don't want the message board to go away. Us old folks use it and it is easier to navigate than to find the chat option. I still don't know where to access the chat option.
With the message board it is easier to access quickly any issues that may have been expressed.

We're looking at moving our league to another platform since simple communication has been removed

Well, I guess yahoo knows what they are doing by going out of business.
1. Due to the lack of communication on why.their decision
2. the lack of easier replacement for PC users.
3. The ease of access for those that would use the app.
4. the risk of the botts SPAMING your email over the use of not having the message board and having to show your email to get the notification. The only way they might get it is for everyone to close their email account and never visit any yahoo site again, not do fantasy Football even with the message board back as we will have already switched to Fantrax.
But then again since they make their money from the ads where they are getting less due to privacy laws, popup blockers, and their own stupid moves.
RIP YAHOO!

IDIOTIC decision to remove message boards. but then again, i expect nothing less from yahoo. they are obviously ignoring this entire thread which means they just dont care. so with that in mind i say EFF U YAHOO! me and my leagues have gone to FANTRAX, where they actually want users to be happy. the custom options are incredible and they actually give away prizes......the complete opposite of this **** of a platform!

This very well may cancel our 13 year league, as everything we did was via message boards (draft, trades, keepers etc). For the life of me, I can't understand replacing boards with chat when it clearly isn't ready/capable to be a proper replacement.

I'm in the process in moving 2 of my 5 leagues to other sites. Communication is important.

What is wrong with you people? Communication is how we understand each other.

It was very useful as a commissioner, particularly at the beginning of the season to post the league rules, keeper contract, draft order, and pre-season trades and make announcements, and during the season to be able to comment on trades, and send reminders for deadlines. Without the message board, I'll probably have to create a Facebook page for my league.
