[Chat/Message Boards] Message Board Removal Feedback
Feedback regarding the removal of message boards from Fantasy Baseball in the 2023 season.
Fantasy league message boards are not going to be available for the current season however you can still access historical message board posts through your fantasy profile. You can continue to communicate with your league via Fantasy Chat, email and commissioner notes. Moving forward we are investing in chat as the best place for league communication and will be adding threading, pinning, polls and more. We welcome your feedback below about how your league used message boards to help us make future improvements.

It was very useful as a commissioner, particularly at the beginning of the season to post the league rules, keeper contract, draft order, and pre-season trades and make announcements, and during the season to be able to comment on trades, and send reminders for deadlines. Without the message board, I'll probably have to create a Facebook page for my league.

this is absolutley insane getting rid of message boards....its critical for dynasty leagues and drafting...

I can't believe you got rid of those--league history is also posted there among other items. Wish you'd strongly reconsider!

Post on this thread too ^^^
Let's push multiple threads about this to the Top 10.
The title of this thread is merely "Removal Feedback"
Getting the title of the thread linked above ("Bring Back Message Boards") into the Top 10 sends a stronger message that Yahoo has intentionally screwed over its users

It was good for everyone being able to comment to each other and share concerns during the season

It is fun to talk to other team owners. Getting rid of the message board SUCKS!

In one of my leagues every transaction shows up in the chat. How annoying.

Used primarily at league start. Much communication about keepers, draft, league setup, etc. Very difficult right now to have this communication. Not happy with the change guys.

Terrible decision to remove message boards unless you can add a substitute feature that is superior. Chat definitely isn't it.

We use the message board for our keeper draft. We also use it for trades, league history, and keeping up with each other. Now we are thinking of switching to Fantrax? to run our league. I have been using yahoo fantasy sports since 2007 and I love it. It seems like you guys are trying to kill off your fantasy sports. The quality has gone down in the last few years. I have to go to other sites to look up players stats because your players pages are sooo terrible.

Upgrades or system changes are fine; leaving leagues hanging without an available, viable replacement should not have been done. Our league(s) uses the boards a lot.

There are some people in my league who don't even have smart phones... I know it's hard to believe but they will not be able to participate in any chat.
My league is spread out over the country and I am only in personal contact with about half of them.
We admittedly don't post on the boards a ton, but it is the basis of almost all league communication. Please bring them back!! -

I don't want to be forced to read chat messages. It's better to have a message board so I can read when I see fit, or if I even want to. I don't want chats in a bunch of public leagues from strangers complaining that my trade offer wasn't good enough ect. I can pick and choose what message board posts to read, now we're forced to get chats that we can't skip? Yahoo takes away options but hasn't improved the look and layout of their service for years. Maybe the focus needs to shift on what needs fixing by Yahoo.
