[Chat/Message Boards] Message Board Removal Feedback
Feedback regarding the removal of message boards from Fantasy Baseball in the 2023 season.
Fantasy league message boards are not going to be available for the current season however you can still access historical message board posts through your fantasy profile. You can continue to communicate with your league via Fantasy Chat, email and commissioner notes. Moving forward we are investing in chat as the best place for league communication and will be adding threading, pinning, polls and more. We welcome your feedback below about how your league used message boards to help us make future improvements.

If you're going to focus on chat instead of message board, can you make it available on the desktop browser?

@Dan who said "To all of those recommending the Fantrax site I am having difficulty in even registering to get in. I have tried several different Usernames--of all things--and Fantrax says that name already exists despite my names being very unique. I really would like to check this site out but this fact alone already is making me somewhat suspicious of Fantrax. Any other sites available without all this drama?"
There is absolutely NOTHING suspicious about Fantrax. There is NO drama there. If everyone else finds it great and easy to move to Fantrax then chances are you are doing something wrong. Add some numbers after a chosen user name just like you would signing up for an email account.
Or maybe you signed up for an account (though not a league) years ago using that email address and since it doesn't match up with the original user name you chose then then they think your are the one acting suspiciously.
It isn't rocket science and since no one else has had trouble making a quick account there then obviously you are doing something wrong. Fantrax is a good, solid professional site and I am loving it there and had no trouble at all. My user name choice was taken and I simply added a single number to the "name" and then it became a unique name and registered immediately.
Still doesn't work? Then you has an account in the past with them using that email address so try another email address -- everyone has several -- and try again.

CHAT DOESN'T WORK MOST OF THE TIME. FIX IT OR GIVE US THE MESSAGE BOARDS BACK.

As a commissioner the message board was critical. All other platforms I've looked at have boards. The chat function seems to work about 25% of the time. Mostly it is non-responsive. It's clunky, hard to use. This is a game-changer and I will very likely remove my league. No idea why you chose this hill to die on.

Please bring back the message boards. The chat box is dumb.

Message boards are integral to any fantasy league - it keeps a record of important information that is going to get lost in email. It's incomprehensible why you would remove them. Stop bending over backwards for the few and address what the majority wants. Grow a spine.

While our league did not actively post, it is an important and critical tool to have in order to communicate with other leage members. Not exactly sure how this function was taken down this year, but it make the yahoo leage less competitive and useful, in my opinion.

That's sad to hear. I'll have to quit my Yahoo leagues and move them to Fantrax.

This is a very stupid idea and might be the final straw to me moving my leagues over to espn.

It's clear that Yahoo no longer cares what their customers want, no wonder Yahoo is now laying off 20% of their work force!

Leave the message board alone. You should have asked for input before you decided.

Message boards are crucial to all of my leagues, especially in the preseason for keeper leagues. Several do our drafting on the message board so it is very inconvenient to not have that option. The chat is unreliable and much more difficult to use. Plus no one gets an email not when there is a new commissioner note which defeats the point of them.

Being a Dynasty League with Farm Teams, we had to use the Message Board for our communications. Not having them required us to move our message system to ProBoards. Thank you for at least allowing us to see last years messages. I was able to recover our Rules and other communications such as Dynasty League draft posts and player elevations from our Minor League squads from prior years. Not a fan of Yahoo! Fantasy Sports any more. I will not be recommending it for future fantasy sports leagues.

They should have waited until these new chat features were added before locking us out of the message boards. We have a keeper deadline looming and I have questions about that and other things I'd like the commish to address publicly. Multiple topics for multiple posts, no message boards to leave posts and no way in chat so have multiple topics as of yet. Tick tock
