[Chat/Message Boards] Message Board Removal Feedback
Feedback regarding the removal of message boards from Fantasy Baseball in the 2023 season.
Fantasy league message boards are not going to be available for the current season however you can still access historical message board posts through your fantasy profile. You can continue to communicate with your league via Fantasy Chat, email and commissioner notes. Moving forward we are investing in chat as the best place for league communication and will be adding threading, pinning, polls and more. We welcome your feedback below about how your league used message boards to help us make future improvements.

Please, please, please keep the message board! How else would you imagine we would deliver important league info.
We don't want chat AT ALL!!! Just a simple message board is fine. it would be nice if it could have working links, etc., but please just revert to the status quo.

In order to run a league with people all over the world playing in it...it is vital to have a message board. What possible reason could justify removing it?

Bring back the message board or we’re gonna have to go else where!!

The MOST stupid move we have seen!!! You sure have never played Fantasy Sports because you would not have done this!!!!!!!

I cannot stand Apps. WAY harder to navigate for all I want & need to do & look at. Me trying to type messages on a phone to "coach" up some of the newer league players is gonna suck. Thanks for finding another way to alienate Gen Xers...

What a terrible idea. Bring back the message boards!

since you folks automatically renew all managers without them knowing, the only way I know for sure that they're back is if they leave a note on the message board. I don't see a fantasy chat anywhere, but that probably won't work for our league. The commissioner note doesn't show who has read it or can they comment. Not sure why you removed it, as basic as it was, we sure used it. Please help...

chats are used for setting forth any & all rule modifications, so everyone has easy access to them in 1 location (as well as the league votes re said changes)

This is silly and makes managing the league more difficult.

This is DUMB! This means NO communication outside of the Mobile APP. I you dont want to host fantasy anymore then jsut cancel it. Don't try and ruin it!

Folks, it's past time to migrate your leagues to Fantrax or CBS. The latter really only functions for pay beyond the most basic leagues. Fantrax gives you more before you hit the paid level. I'll figure it out, but I'm done with Yahoo Fantasy Baseball, and probaby Yahoo Fantasy overall. This is just one more way of them saying they want to get out of Fantasy Baseball without getting out of Fantasy Baseball. Probably not enough gambling revenue in it.

Please don't remove message boards. It serves so many useful purposes for our league and will be really disappointing and inconvenient to lose this feature.

How do I even access Fantasy Chat? I don't see it anywhere on the website. If this is just available on the mobile app that is not acceptable.
This is a really lame change to your fantasy interface. Using email as communication is not an effective way to communicate with the league. You can't reply to emails sent through the fantasy email. Some players have their emails hidden (which is there choice), this forces you to reply to an email by going back into email the league so there is no continuity or thread.
Really really bad idea whoever thought of this one.
In my keeper league managers post their "NA" keepers here.
I have some league changes that I wanted to propose in my keeper league that I commish and now there is not a viable way for everyone to discuss those in an open forum to make sure they are acceptable.
Poor form Yahoo.

BIG DISAPPOINTMENT!!! Our league uses the Message Board for all kinds of league-wide, FAST communication. No manager can say "Oh, I didn't know ...". Whatever Yahoo staffer came up with this brilliant "improvement" at YAHOO obviously doesn't play FBB and/or communicates with other FBB managers. What a STUPID "idea". I sure hope Yahoo saves millions of dollars by taking away something their customers enjoy. Who cares about "historical message boards" ??? We want to communicate easily with other FBB managers in the present, not the past. Good grief YAHOO!!!
BTW Yahoo -- check out the posted comments. Seems like 99.999% of your customers think this is a TERRIBLE move. Hmmmmmmmm

would be nice if chat was functional

this is a great disappointment! the message board is vital for me to remember league details; EASY ACCESS to list of unique rules of a particular league (# of keepers as an example). while being in so many similar leagues but with one or 2 important differences, i rely on the message board as a reminder of those differences. RECONSIDER!

Yahoo---Do the right thing and restore the Message Board immediately!! You seem to be totally ignoring the wishes of the overwhelming consensus from we dedicated, devoted and long-time Yahoo fantasy players. It's a slap in the face to us all. You will get respect when you give respect. The Message Board is one of the most important and critical tools used in fantasy leagues.

I have used the Message Board in ALL of the leagues I have been in on Yahoo. Some guys don't even check the messages in Fantasy Chat. Since you are doing away with the Message Board, we have moved our messaging to Discord in one league, and in another league we are going to communicate through text messages. Instead of doing way with the Message Board you should integrate the Message Board with Chat. Some guys use one or the other, but not both. Kind of a pain to have to figure out a new way to communicate. Why fix what is not broken?? Other than than, I am happy with Yahoo Fantasy Sports!

This is how we post keepers for my league and communicate with other owners. This is such a simple feature that every other fantasy baseball and football website has. You already have the code written, so just bring it back. This is a pointless and detrimental change that will only alienate users away from Yahoo.

We used the message board to let the league see our keepers for the season in advance of the draft. We also spent countless hours of banter on there over the years. BRING IT BACK!
