[Chat/Message Boards] Message Board Removal Feedback
Feedback regarding the removal of message boards from Fantasy Baseball in the 2023 season.
Fantasy league message boards are not going to be available for the current season however you can still access historical message board posts through your fantasy profile. You can continue to communicate with your league via Fantasy Chat, email and commissioner notes. Moving forward we are investing in chat as the best place for league communication and will be adding threading, pinning, polls and more. We welcome your feedback below about how your league used message boards to help us make future improvements.

is there any other reason to even have a yahoo account if it isn't for fantasy sports?

The feedback description is confusing...so you're getting rid of "message board" and replacing it with "chat" based on how we used our message board? So the new product will have the same functions but just a new name? It's not clear what impact this has except that the features we use (and have relied on for years) are now unavailable. Why couldn't this transition be done in the offseason instead of now, when we actually use it? Mind-boggling. The suggestion that we communicate with our leagues "via email" in the meantime is unhelpful (and insulting)...the VERY REASON I use the message-board is to AVOID bothering people on their personal emails with fantasy baseball communications.

"Fantasy league message boards are not going to be available for the current season..."
They're not coming back people, EVER! They're not going to lose enough numbers to care.

Our commissioner just made an error and without the message board, we have no way to contact him about it.

i think this is my last year on yahoo. we are going to try to do a discord for us to be able to communicate on different topics but it seems less likely that i will return.

the message boards were removed and they're not coming back. they don't care what we have to say, the decision was made knowing that it would upset us. someone please tell me another site where i can commish in peace. ESPN doesn't have NAs

This was a HORRIBLE decision by Yahoo to do away with the Message Board (MB). The MB is a very important tool in all leagues for commissioners and managers to correspond on league issues and friendly chatter/banter with a record of documentation and history. The MB is also easily accessible to all. I am the commish of 2 leagues and a manager in several other leagues and none of those leagues have ever used the Chat tool and I doubt we ever will. By eliminating the Message Board, Yahoo has made it much more difficult to correspond within leagues and this very poor decision is very detrimental to all leagues. I request and strongly urge Yahoo to restore the Message Board tool immediately.

you have disintegrated the number 1 mode of communication in all leagues. Who was the moron that thinks communication isn't important??
Oh yeah, the tekkie kissin' the boss's ***. -

i am quitting your fantasy platform. I started 57 years ago with Strat-o-Matic. You rely on tekkies, hits, and other nonsense to make your decisions. I will not do fantasy sports on an app. It is serviceable when i am on vacation, but at my age, i like to look at a monitor or a lap top screen.
Good luck with your stupidity. -

does anyone know any other good sites for fantasy baseball? i like being the commissioner to my leagues and it seems that yahoo doesn't care how frustrating this is. ESPN?

This is going to be super rough for us to transition. The main feature of our league is we have a "forced trading" each week. and we use the message board to keep track of the players being traded for each week. We also are able to declare protected players that can change each week, and we utilize the message boards as well.
I cannot even find the "fantasy chat" on the site using a browser, I'll have to see if it's more friendly on the app.
I'm sure we'll figure it out, but this is not good right now.

I would not have been happy if Yahoo had announced that they would continue to offer free fantasy baseball with a few features like the message boards stripped away. But then for a reasonable annual fee you would get the full featured product. I wouldn't have liked it but I'd have understood and would almost certainly have ponied up the money for the better service. But Yahoo has given us no such option. And no explanation for the change. Enormously frustrating.

I don't believe anyone is looking at the feedback, if you were, you would reinstate the message board immediately. You have taken away the most important thing for commissioners to be able to communicate with the other team owner.

Removing message boards for no stated purpose just manufactures a problem making Yahoo a worse product.

why in the world would you get rid of message boards with no explanations...that makes absolutel no sense. Maybe have it where the commisioner can inactivate a messgae board...but this makes no sense.
