[Chat/Message Boards] Message Board Removal Feedback
Feedback regarding the removal of message boards from Fantasy Baseball in the 2023 season.
Fantasy league message boards are not going to be available for the current season however you can still access historical message board posts through your fantasy profile. You can continue to communicate with your league via Fantasy Chat, email and commissioner notes. Moving forward we are investing in chat as the best place for league communication and will be adding threading, pinning, polls and more. We welcome your feedback below about how your league used message boards to help us make future improvements.

I can't believe the comments still are not up despite literally 100% negative feedback. The few guys in our league (out of 16) that I communicate with outside of fantasy are now pushing to move to FanTrax. Our dynasty league has been with Yahoo for 20 years. You have to bring comments back, they are critical to how we run our league. We have dynasty leagues in the four major sports and you'll lose them all. Also, your chat is awful.

The group I have been playing with since 2005 has always been very active on the message boards. Sometimes, our boards became a de facto chat room. We could always chime in on a conversation, even hours or days later. If message boards are gone, I hope they're replaced with something that won't take away from our experience that past 18 years. We live all over the US, Canada, and Australia, and these message boards and Facebook are pretty much all we have to communicate.

another bone head decision by yahoo......not surprised tho tbh. your chat feature SUCKS.....bring back the message board or me and my (3) baseball, (1) football and (3) basketball leagues will be leaving for a platform with some common sense! do you people not see the irony of soliciting comments about "how we use the message board" on a MESSAGE BOARD?!?!? just plain stupid

How to officially complain: Please use our message board.
Seriously tone death.
Make sure to vote "how important is this to you?" We have gotten this up to 7th ranked now. 1st place here we come.

This sounds like a very stupid idea. I even had to log in to something just to do this. I am not sure what you reasoning is, but our league which has been in existence for at least 20 years uses our message board for important communications throughout the season. By doing away with this and requiring some other method of communication, you may bring about the end of some very long friendships that have been created through Yahoo Fantasy Baseball and Football.

I also run a league that I don't know a single person on a personal cell phone level. No idea how that'll work. Guess I'll post on the Commish chat and hope they see it. I guarantee they won't get email alerts that I posted something like on the message board. Do better.

Not having message boards is really failed. We post trades and updates there. Guess we'll use a group chat. Hey, you guys should make Ohtani 3 players.

Message boards are extremely important to our league. "pinning" may work assuming we can pin multiple links / posts to a specific location that is easily accessible to the league at all times.
But I run auction keeper leagues so the player values and trade tracker documents need to be accessible to the league at all times as yahoo doesnt allow for trade/tracking of auction dollars or keeper values. Other leagues of mine use the message board to post and track off-season trade details as yahoo does not allow for this.
We may have to look at using alternative messaging platforms. I would also agree that the chat options should be available before removing the message board. The league is scrambling a bit right now trying to access the information which is critical for our off-season trading/planning.

If you plan on replacing an important organizational tool like message boards that are used for drafting, trades, rule changes, open discussions, and general league communication to name a few with another tool, Why don't you have that tool ready to replace it before you remove it completely. I don't know who the brain child was behind this decision, whomever did make this choice out did themselves. Even for Yahoo with the many bugs and lack of support we have been forced to deal with and accept over the years this is up there as one of the largest middle fingers you have given your users. I could be optimistic about new chat features if there wasn't a total gap in a much needed communication mechanism like message boards. Give us the message boards until your new development is done. Experiencing Yahoo development over the last 10 years I have zero faith your new chat features will be ready by the end of the current MLB season. I would be surprised if they are ready to go before MLB season of 2024. Simply put, do not remove a feature until the replacement feature is ready to go. I have voted to move away from Yahoo platform in my league. I hope others realize that there are other platforms for fantasy baseball. Platforms who consider the impact their decisions have on the end users.

Have a message board, where people can discuss league issues, rules, trades, etc. Simple

What a terrible thing to remove from leagues. Our league DEPENDS on the message board to keep track of challenges and other league activity. Just another nail in the coffin of Yahoo fantasy sports. Guess we will need to move to espn or somewhere else.

Without a doubt the STUPIDIEST DECISION your team of monkeys has ever come up with. Bring the boards back or our league will have to consider moving to a viable option for our leagues.

The message boards is a good way to contact the whole group in your league and although not used that much still are very valuable and would like to see them returned. On another subject, I would like to see chat added back to the draft.

It's all about the smack, baby! Please bring message boards back. The guys in my league need to know who King Smack talk is, ME!

The answer to all your questions is money.
How does this obviously poor idea save you money?
Not one of our League members knows anything about Fantasy chat.
it's been a struggle to just to figure out who is coming back to our League this year.
Message boards need to come back
0/10
Ridiculous.

Further proof that being too dumb to buy Google all those years ago was not a fluke.

You guys don't give a **** about any of your players, do you?

This idea is utter garbage. So many of us are glad we don't have to chat. This is one of the.most ******* tone deaf ideas I've ever witnessed.

Goodby Yahoo. Our league will move to another site. What boss who doesn't play fantasy would have ever come up with this idea?
