Silly season is no fun. It's 80% resting position players and starters going 3 innings if you're lucky. The fact the season got extended is ever more reason because this wouldn't be an issue at all then. End the season the week before the actual playoffs start. Same should also be for the NBA as well.

only players in the final 4 should use there money left to get players, then if the players left than the 5 through 8 can pick up an player left, a top 4 player that bids 0 should still rank over the guy in 7th place who bids 15 dollars, what really the purpose of allowing anyone who cant win a dollar to get a player.

It seems like this should already be an automatic pro league feature considering that there are always at least several players with NA status from the day drafting starts to the end of the season. It would add another layer of roster strategizing, which is FUN!

Add OPS so triples and doubles are important. Could probably replace HRs with this. HR and RBI are so tightly correlated you don't need both.
Add Holds to Saves (called High Leverage Outing - HLO), then middle relievers become an important asset. Especially since they also get a lot of the Wins now due to pitch count. Which means...
Wins should probably become Quality Starts.

Please don't allow trades in public prize leagues managed by Yahoo. Friends join leagues together and people just give up trading away their good players.
Yahoo is not going to veto all the deals these people make so minimalize collusion by not having trades.
