Hello Yahoo Fantasy Team,

After more than a decade of playing Yahoo Fantasy Baseball, I finally won my first championship in 2026—and I wish the moment had received at least as much recognition as a weekly win.

For perspective, I checked my first Yahoo Fantasy roster it included: Sammy Sosa, Jeff Bagwell, Aaron and Bret Boone, Omar Vizquel, Ken Griffey Jr., Greg Maddux, and Randy Johnson. This championship had been a long time coming!

After 23 weeks of managing my team and maintaining a record with only one loss, I expected some acknowledgment when I finally won. Instead, there was no celebration, no season summary, no congratulations—just a small line of text saying I finished in first place. For something I had spent months working toward and years hoping to achieve, it felt surprisingly uneventful.

A championship message, a season recap, or even a little digital confetti would have made a difference. Twenty-three weeks is a real investment of time and attention, and winning a league deserves a moment that feels special.

I’ll likely play again next year, although this experience has made me consider returning to ESPN's thing. I’ve enjoyed Yahoo Fantasy for years, but discovering how quietly a championship passes has left me a little less excited about coming back.

It might be another 11 years before I win again, so I was hoping for a little more fanfare this time. I will cherish this championship regardless—I just wish Yahoo had helped me celebrate it.
