[Chat/Message Boards] Message Board Removal Feedback
Feedback regarding the removal of message boards from Fantasy Baseball in the 2023 season.
Fantasy league message boards are not going to be available for the current season however you can still access historical message board posts through your fantasy profile. You can continue to communicate with your league via Fantasy Chat, email and commissioner notes. Moving forward we are investing in chat as the best place for league communication and will be adding threading, pinning, polls and more. We welcome your feedback below about how your league used message boards to help us make future improvements.

Message board replaced by league chat? I cannot find any link in our Yahoo league for league chat? Message board was apparent and easy to navigate . How do you find where the league chat is for your league..assumig there is a chat for each league and not a league chat for all the leagues in one bucket...otherwise how would you identify what your league is chatting about???

League used message board for a number of things. NOt sure how to communicate with League members within the site. can't find any chat options...message board was apparent and easy to find and use! What a failure by yahoo on this one--no wonder Yahoo is becoming obsolete with these kind of decisions!

Well, you toilet tongued Yahoo executives who control our world are in for a rude awakening. Baseball's objection to your decree ending our Message Boards is already #3 on your list of stupidest ever decisions. And you've had 20 years to raise the stupidity bar to its current level.
You guys best find another gig before August. Yahoo Fantasy Football has the widest subscriber list of any fantasy sport in the USA. They use Message Board too.
We baseballers have worked hard to communicate our need for our old Message Board. We seem to have failed. Well, F U. Fantrax has burned out their capacity for this year's leagues, but next year they will be ready to take all your fantasy business. In all sports. Not just baseball, but fantasy football, where you live.
And they may have their HUGE fantasy playing field up and running in 4 to 5 months.
We are not just a bunch of ******* punks. We are, and soon to be your FORMER customers.

Why? I don't understand the reason to remove the message board. How the heck can I communicate? Are you trying to force people to check their email? My league is dying and this is another nail in the coffin.

Message boards may be the most important part of our league. The comoradory and info updating. We may look elsewhere.

We use the message boards to communicate and share news with others regarding the league and what's going on in our lives. This is an awful development.

It is terrible that Yahoo has removed message boards. We have been using Yahoo Fantasy for over 20 years and we are going to leave next season if Yahoo doesn't bring back message boards. WE DO NOT WANT FEATURES DELETED. Please bring back message boards.

I agree with all these complaints, especially dB complaint on 3/6.
And where is fantasy chat anyway. Maybe on a change as drastic as this, you should think about providing a link, tab, something to guide your users.
Really inept decision and execution -

This singularly poor decision must be about money.
No logic, no presentation of market research, no consideration of customer preferences, no beta test, and a basic lack of understanding of how message boards serve the needs of a league. Everybody has chat and league members already use that if they prefer to discuss trades, etc. But a message board is a league forum for open, longitudinal, effective communication and facilitating league functions. Chat may have some advantages, but in the context of league mission and goals, not the least of which is having fun, chat pales to message boards. I could provide a long litany of message board advantages, but I suspect that the many hundreds of messages, should they be read and considered, do that quite effectively. Please read these messages. They do not reflect the opinions of outliers. Like many, I find myself after 23 years with Yahoo considering other fantasy sports outlets such as ESPN, and in fact will be researching these other outlets as soon as I post this message. This is not reactionary; we just want a fun diversion and it's not hyperbolic or histrionic to state that losing the message board will take away a lot from the game. You have failed to provide a convincing argument for chat; please reverse this lamentable decision. Thank you. -

Many leagues use the message board for their offline or slow drafts. It's understandable if you want to disable it for public leagues, as they can be difficult to monitor. But it should remain as at least an OPTION for private leagues, where they can moderate their own members. You're going to lose a LOT of private leagues because of this!

I can't the find the "Fantasy Chat". If I could find that I would try and use it as suggested. Can someone point me to that with a screengrab and arrow or something?

What is going on at Yahoo? No more message boards? This critical infrastructure for communication for leagues. The chat stinks and would be a better choice to axe. Also, your player pool is screwed up in my league. The keepers are selected but I still can't see available players, only players that weren't rostered last season. BE BETTER!

This is how we communicated with the league to setup draft day, etc. Bring it back until you have a suitable replacement or we'll switch out of Yahoo.

Where is fantasy chat on the desktop version? Why take away a functionality when the recommended replacement is ONLY on mobile (and it sucks)?

Please bring back the message board. Our keeper league utilizes the message board continually throughout the season. We have league information on there as well as our "Farms Systems" which have each teams prospects. The message board is crucial to our league.

Ummm ..you CANNOT do this. Well, you can, but you'll lose our league after 20 years of loyalty. Adios Yahoo!
