This has become so annoying that Yahoo fantasy sports writers are being asked one question totally unrelated to their Sleepers, Overrateds, Underrateds, Next in line Closers stories. That question is "What did your employer do with our message board? Does it's elimination not make you wonder about despite your years of loyal service, your job might me next?"
Wait for football you Yahoo birches! You will lose 70% of that business,

Well, you toilet tongued Yahoo executives who control our world are in for a rude awakening. Baseball's objection to your decree ending our Message Boards is already #3 on your list of stupidest ever decisions. And you've had 20 years to raise the stupidity bar to its current level.
You guys best find another gig before August. Yahoo Fantasy Football has the widest subscriber list of any fantasy sport in the USA. They use Message Board too.
We baseballers have worked hard to communicate our need for our old Message Board. We seem to have failed. Well, F U. Fantrax has burned out their capacity for this year's leagues, but next year they will be ready to take all your fantasy business. In all sports. Not just baseball, but fantasy football, where you live.
And they may have their HUGE fantasy playing field up and running in 4 to 5 months.
We are not just a bunch of ******* punks. We are, and soon to be your FORMER customers.

Yahoo seems **** bent on killing the Message Board. We may not see a satisfactory resolution to this boolsheet this year. So by nextyear, my guess is Fantrax will have added enough servers to serve the multitudes.
And then the re st of us can leave. Most will. And Yahoo: wait for football's complaints.

This is up to sixth of all time. Is it sixth in fantasy baseball history, or sixth in Yahoo fantasy sports history?
Hundreds of people have testified as to the great importance of communication in all fantasy leagues. It seems that lots of players don't use their fantasy sports address for anything else than Yahoo Fantasy Sports. Without a Message Board we and likely tens of thousands of Yahoo Fan Leagues will be forced to migrate to other providers. And for a variety of reasons many of us want to stay in Yahoo; why make us leave?
That's not a threat. It's a fact.

My league wanted to discuss a fairly major scoring change this year: go from 6X6 to 5X5 by dropping Assists, Saves, and Holds while combining Saves and Holds into a wise Yahoo cat which combined the two into SOLDS. That's a sensible league.
But we have no message board. We cannot discuss scoring changes. We cannot catch up on what has happened in our lives since early October.
This is a business kill recipe for Yahoo. Bus-kill if you will. This ********* is stupid for your business model, it costs you consumers this year, and creates a fair degree of ill will about the Yahoo brand in general, not just baseball. E mail -- what is left -- is likely next. Your news is already mostly pictures of morons in WalMart interspersed with a cutie with a lot of what's up front that counts.
So kill your fantasy sports business. Sure baseball is first, but all the others come next, and they have the benefit of knowing what Yahoo is up to. They have months to figure out how to transition to another carrier. And they will do so, overwhelmingly.
We rarely see a corporate suicide in real time, but here it is now, coming day by day.

All of my leagues span 4 or more time zones. We can never hold a live draft together, and most of us don't want our phone numbers out there. The Message Board is how we communicate. Chat ****, threads, come on, man! That may be cheap for Yahoo, but message specifism is something threads don't do nearly as well.
Bring back the Message Board.
Meanwhile my leagues are researching other hosts, and while I've been with Yahoo baseball since '95, we will move to something with customizable cats and a message board, if necessary.

Your fantasy baseball writers now get more complaints about closing the message board than questions about their opinions. That should tell you something. And come fantasy football, this hailstorm of complaints will turn into a dungstorm. Hide and watch!
