[Chat/Message Boards] Message Board Removal Feedback
Feedback regarding the removal of message boards from Fantasy Baseball in the 2023 season.
Fantasy league message boards are not going to be available for the current season however you can still access historical message board posts through your fantasy profile. You can continue to communicate with your league via Fantasy Chat, email and commissioner notes. Moving forward we are investing in chat as the best place for league communication and will be adding threading, pinning, polls and more. We welcome your feedback below about how your league used message boards to help us make future improvements.

We need threads IMMEDIATELY. The message board was an effective way to facilitate multiple topic-specific conversations. In chat, that is an absolute mess.

For the love of GOD, at least make it so we can post URLs. I can't remember a chat feature in the past 2 decades that couldn't do that.
The Rich text editor in message boards was awful, and even it could handle links...

A dynasty league I am in used the message board for keeping minor league rosters and a minor league/rookie draft every year. Since there are no message boards we are forced to seek alternative means of communication outside of Yahoo.

Fairly unanimous, isn't it? It's a stupid move. Add my vote to that. I didn't think I could hate a move any worse than the daily-today waiver system that your new management instituted. You know, the one where you have to show up 3 or 4 days in a row to drop someone - assuming, of course, that you're lucky enough to get there before the games start. But maybe this tops it. So... YES! Everyone used the message board. Unreal.

What difference does it make. I'm in a league Commish owns multi teams and it is very obvious. tired of these morons create leagues and cheat to win. I really would like to get out but **** with it I wont be active. It's a shame

No message board is a mess. We put a lot of info there for our dynasty league. We will look to transfert to an other site next year

Very stupid move removing the message boards. We use them all the time. I never used chat before and haven't liked it this year. What's worse is chat is only on your apps and I prefer to use your website as do most of the other competitors in my leagues. At least make chat available on the website this year, but preferably, bring back the message boards.

Maybe Yahoo fantasy should just get rid of feedback, how about that idea??!
What's the point of this topic or feedback at all... If Yahoo. continues to ignore the overwhelming response to the Message. Board Removal across all fantasy sports?
I love how Yahoo ranks ranks topics, lol.
There is only an ONE topic that is the actually active topic that users are really concernedl about in 1
2023 that with over 1,700 posts and counting is without question the most most popular or hot topic or whatever, as far as being an active thread for a topic created and discussed among all leagues and users this year.Everything else is obviously pointless.
Yahoo, you owe your users better.
Just an FYI for any other Yahoo Fantasy Sports users.. Below is the primary link (I pasted I am posting a of somewhat similar version, but by no means identical nor off-topic.
So, if hasn't been seen but other users, it is imperative for everyone, if it hasn't been realized and/or known about already).
So as a courtesy to all fellow fantasy players, below are more thoughts
regarding all user feedback. The link(s) were provided directly by Yahoo (more than a month ago) which, as of today, March 5th, Yahoo has listed as only the 3rd most popular feedback topic with well over a thousand comments... All, virtually without exception: unfavorable responses that dwarf every other topic by far and possibly combined! Message Board Removal link (just in case any fellow uses finds themselves stumbling upon the newest current thread started by a less aware user that likely also are just. recently realizing this before creating a separate post... So it's probably best to pass along the primary thread to your league mates and re-post or voice one's feedback and sentiments on the below thread going forward.

So this topic or any other is of no consequence and not even remotely as important as Yahoo's message board removal decision (which there's still time to fix imo)Who cares about search filters when many leagues across all Yahoo Fantasy platforms actually might not even begin at all with the recent outcry and outrage over what is obviously a far more important topic to all fantasy users of Yahoo (who are already making a mass exit from. Yahoo for other sites and platforms)
I'll post a message I wrote on another redundant and/or outdated topic thread here for people unaware of this, and might not realize that their fantasy leagues may be in serious jeopardy of even happening in 2023.
Just an FYI for any other Yahoo Fantasy Sports users.. Below I'm including the primary link (I pasted elsewhere also as it's more and more appearing that Yahoo
and its topic admins are avoiding the elephant in the topics of discussion and user repliesSo just in case, to make my informed observation known and understood....
I'm re-posting my explanation for the benefit of all if it's stumbled upon here.
Hopefully it helps other fantasy users to prioritize their concerns and raises awareness for all, if this knowledge hasn't been already considered).
The following I have info to others regarding public feedback threads.

Bring the message boards back. This is a valuable space for storing data, taking polls, submitting keepers etc.

You literally ruined my fantasy life. Unbelievably poor decision making. The person or persons that made this call should be reprimanded if not terminated. All of my leagues have been transitioned to another platform. Congratulations you lost business over something that required no additional cost because the coding for the message boards were already in place. Bye Felicia!

We frequently used the boards and now have many upset players.

we always use the message board in addition to the chat. we post league rules, league bios, draft reviews etc on the message boards. I think you guys should improve the message boards not get rid of them.

BRING THEM BACK

message boards were very important - we used it for everything. Hate to see it go. We are "old timers" who dont like chat rooms. Might look for another fantasy source - MLB, ESPN or something else. Boo - bring it back - now we have to email everybody.

How this only ranked 3rd is proof to me Yahoo is trying to squash criticism on this matter. Still the dumbest move you folks have made in recent years.

Why did you take away the message boards? And where is Chat? I can't even find it.
Horrible decision....one more reason to move to CBS next year.

Was the easiest way to communicate with the league about changes for the following year, take votes, etc. Why make it more difficult? Makes no sense. Are you trying to get us to use your phone app because that makes you more money? I'll never use the phone app. I know people who do who don't like it. And I don't see anything on my league page that's labeled 'Fantasy Chat'. I'm guessing it's on the phone app? Which I will never use. Let's see, what are the other options for fantasy baseball next year. Hmmmmmm

Taking away the message boards stops teams from communicating with other teams in an easy manner. Also, stop playing with the stats for players on their profiles. You are taking away critical information, like historical performance, which is vital. You should be adding more info not less
