[Chat/Message Boards] Message Board Removal Feedback
Feedback regarding the removal of message boards from Fantasy Baseball in the 2023 season.
Fantasy league message boards are not going to be available for the current season however you can still access historical message board posts through your fantasy profile. You can continue to communicate with your league via Fantasy Chat, email and commissioner notes. Moving forward we are investing in chat as the best place for league communication and will be adding threading, pinning, polls and more. We welcome your feedback below about how your league used message boards to help us make future improvements.

Bring it back or we're moving to ESPN. It's that simple. We RELY on it, do you understand? We use big-boy computers, not apps on a toy phone.

I am thinking it's not going to be a good thing to be whoever is running Yahoo Fantasy Baseball, if they have a supervisor, in an era of rampant tech industry layoffs, once said supervisor looks at the numbers later this year. Then again, I'm often unsure whether anyone is really paying attention. And maybe the whole thing was a big money loser anyway. I will admit, I spent a fair amount of time playing whackamole with Yahoo pop up ads and never bought a thing from them.

I do writeups for my league every week via the message boards. Unless the app allows for access via something with a keyboard, where I can type many paragraphs, format, hyperlink, insert pictures, etc, this is a no-go for my 2 leagues and 20 players.

Besides moving leagues to Fantrax, I would recommend Fleaflicker based on limited experience. That said, in trying to set up a league there personally, I did get stuck on trying to establish rosters -- so it's not perfect. However, some others have definitely set up some interesting leagues, and several are seeking owners. You can find them at this link once you're signed up.

Bad move taking message boards down. Using the league email to players is ONE WAY. You can't directly respond to an email from the league page. Slows the process. Don't say you are gathering feedback since you got rid of the message boards. Bad move

1. Keep the message boards.
2. Can we do PLEASE do something about “locking rosters” in Weekly Leagues? Please pivot in making that happen 15 min before every game starts rather than after 1st pitch for all rosters. Similar to football.
The late Monday DL news nonsense (after 1st pitch) when all rosters are locked, absolutely kills us. We have to guess and have no moves to sub out without notice.
Maybe you can reprogram the software or Perhaps take a hint from NFBC and make a “Thursday switch out” available for injured bats only. No arms. That way, we can still salvage some weekend counting stats … this is a major gripe for past 10 years in my league!! Thx in advance.

Nobody uses the mobile chat. Even if you try to, messages just go unanswered or unseen. Mobile also doesn't have every capability that desktop has, like if I want to update my trade block and have it posted to the message board for everyone to see. Why ruin a good thing? Yahoo doing their best Rob Manfred impression...

I don't understand why Yahoo would take the message boards away. What is the reasoning behind this? We used it for everything - weekly recaps, fake news stories, trade proposals and other communication. It's the communication tool that we (and it seems every other league) used the most. The message board is a better tool than chat, email, and commissioner notes.

PJ Johnson below said: "Just moved everything to FanTrax. If you aren't going to do something about literally every owner posting to bring the message board back, what's the point of asking for feedback? Sad to go, didn't want to go. We've been here for almost two decades. Each day I use fantrax it gets easier and more familiar though and Yahoo gets further into the rearview mirror. You did this to yourself Yahoo."
Please listen to him!!! Why are any of you still waiting around waiting for Yahoo to do what they clearly will NOT do? Leave a sinking ship behind. Save your leagues and move!
Our leagues moved (copied and pasted is how it works) over to FANTRAX couple of weeks back. Easy to do for your commish! And best decision we ever made!! FANTRAX is day to Yahoo's night.

I would hope you've seen enough feedback to realize the damage you've done to fantasy players. I also hope you are proactive in solving this issue.

In our 15-year league we did a slow draft via message board thread every season, so it was our historical data as well as a record of trades and transactions. Rule proposals etc. It was vital to our leagues operation.

Why yahoo...why!?!?!? It's the easiest way to communicate with your league. I don't want to be forced you use discord or another app/service. Fantasy chat doesn't work and no one really looks at their emails anymore. Looks like I'll been investing my time finding another fantasy service, bye yahoo.

Message posting allows leagues to fill better (and make Yahoo more money) since players in multiple leagues can post openings in their various leagues. REESTABLISH POSTING!!!

Where are the threads/pins/etc in chat? You say they're replacing the message boards, yet no updates on when we can expect.
Poor form.
