Dynasty/Keepers - Leave league open to allow trading, adds, and drops during the offseason.
This would allow managers to make all league transactions within the platform, including adds, drops, and trades, throughout the year.

Must have.

This needs to be a part of the Yahoo format going forward for those of us who are in need.

Trades and drops are great. No adds. But I agree with Jody down there. Its silly that this isn't already happening.

Let’s get this going for trades and drops. Allow comish to lock all adds. We track trades by excel right now. They close it in January and open it back up in April. Why not allow dynasty open for those extra 3 months?

How is this not already happening?

I want to start by saying I have been playing Yahoo Fantasy Football since 2003. I have also played in several other leagues on competitors sites (ESPN, NFL, CBS, Reality Sports Online) and I consider Yahoo FAR SUPERIOR to all other formats I've played on in terms on user interface, player information, weekly/future stat projections, and mobile app to name a few. There are always a few gripes and quirks here and there, but the overall experience on Yahoo is fantastic in my opinion.
To echo some of the comments here, I would LOVE if Yahoo was able to implement a dynasty salary cap league similar to what RealitySportsOnline.com (RSO) offers. I have been competing in a league on RSO for a few years now and it is the most compelling type of league setup that's I've experienced for serious and engaged managers. For all the positives for Yahoo mentioned above, re-draft or keeper leagues don't come close to the intrigue provided in managing salary caps and free agents 4 years in advance in the game model on RSO.
Users understand RSO is a premium fantasy football product, and they pay fees to use the product accordingly. Though RSO does provide a great gameplay experience from a strategy perspective, unfortunately their user interface, player updates/information, weekly projections, mobile app, and pretty much everything else pales in comparison to what Yahoo offers. I'm sure users would have no issue paying a premium for a similar product offering from Yahoo. I know my RSO league-mates would love to move our operations to Yahoo should a similar game become available, even at a premium cost.

It may have been stated already but Yahoo really needs to add the ability to have an extended draft versus a simple live draft with 30/60/90 second timers.
Sleeper is a basic startup app and you can already set the timer to hours or days for rookie picks and the commissioner can suspend/pause the draft during the evenings/nights. It's a feature that just absolutely needs to be added if Yahoo wants to bring back dynasty players.
I'll agree with the original poster: if Yahoo made all the necessary additions for dynasty leagues, I would pay for my league to have access to the premium options available if the cost was reasonable.

trades yes but add/drops as OP said, NO WAY! do you guys not see the problem with that? so lets use saquan barkley as an example. football season is over, college season is over, like a month before the draft and like 50+ players entering the draft get added to the free agent pool on a random day in march? yeah thats really fair for a league. so now instead of the worst team getting to draft the best college players for their dynasty league the most active managers who randomly check their football team in february can just go pick up guys like barkley, zeke, etc for free in free agency.
yeah that will really go over well for the bottom dwelling teams in your league. good luck with that OP -

I really don't understand the implementation curve for something so fundamental to dynasty leagues. Let's get it done this year.

Yes. Please. Year round access to the league. That's what a dynasty league needs to have...but I feel like Yahoo doesn't care. This has been a request for several years.

When the playoffs end, you should be able to trade draft picks and players for the upcoming years. Our dynasty league needs this feature to function without major draft challenges.

I could perform this action pre-draft in baseball keeper this year but not in football. It can't be that hard to give commissioners this option.

I totally agree with that.

Allow offseason of preseason trades and transactions of players or draft picks. This would be leading up to draft day. Alleviates the commissioner from having to inout these transactions manually.

offseason trading of players and draft picks should be allowed. at least as a commissioner tool.

As a Dynasty league player for more than a decade now, I totally agree. As commish, I've learned to get around it by manually making transactions and applying them to week 17. that way it's after the championship game but it still allows for post season moves until the league page is closed for the year

Yes I agree also give ability to have more than 30 players for dynasty leagues and maybe a taxi squad too

It has already been suggested but I want to state it too. Keeper leagues need the ability to trade players and draft picks in the offseason. That's the point of a keeper league.

Yes or at least allow commish to edit rosters predraft to reflect trades.
