rename a folder with subfolders
renaming a folder with subfolders (or not) is crucial for organizing emails and boosting productivity, now that renaming a folder is no longer allowed once it has one or more subfolders.

How do you change the title of a folder or actually delete a folder? Or change the title of an existing folder?

Yes it is very silly that Yahoo mail does not allow renaming top folder. Google mail is so flexible and I had no such problem there. Very frustrating experience with Yahoo Mail folder renaming process.

Right now, it is very tedious the way it is, since there's no way we can rename the parent folder name.
Why do we even need to vote for a feature as basic as renaming the parent folder? It's common sense.

I can't rename any folders primary or sub-folder. I get an error message after I attempt that it is a failed activity and didn't go thru. This is in CHROME. I was able to in IE 11, but as of today I can't do it. my Yahoo emails are useless if I can't sort them into folders and change names.. I am more than happy to pay a subscription to have access to emails I can manipulate as if I was in a corp on Outlook. 2) I can't figure out how to do a new post for this feedback forum... 3) instructions are had to find to do anything ... 4) grouping of emails. not comfortable w/ this because one I delete one email in the group in the sent items (I don't keep sent items I CC myself as a way of keeping it if I need to. the WHOLE CONVESATION disappears. Need more control over this grouping thing. 5) authendication... can we just keep this to send me a code to a mobile? can't figure out where and how to make that the permanent choice..... 6) deleting enmass is confusing... when it was page down to get a new group of emails I knew what I was doing. now it's rolling and I can't tell how far if I select all it is selecting. so mass deleting is a slow activity....

I misspelled a folder name. There is no option to rename it, It's an option in Outlook that does work, yahoo should do it too.

I agree with most of these comments. HOW can or WHY did Yahoo Mail remove the option to rename a Folder that has sub folders in it? It is HUGELY important to have this option, especially when you have hundreds of folders and thousands of mails to manage. I am really hopeful someone from Yahoo's team reads these comments and implement or go back to the previous version of yahoo mail where users were able to rename a main folder. This seems like a simple feature to implement.

Please restore the feature that allows me to rename folders as my needs change .
I spent a significant amount of time today using the workaround of creating new folders and moving the files from the old folders to the new folders. So inefficient!
Did it not occur to you to maintain functionality of previous software? This software development oversight seems unprofessional. Your beta version sorta sucks.

What happened to being able to rename folders? I had to come up with a work around of creating a new folder and moving the emails into it then deleting the old folder name. Too much work, just to rename a folder!!!!!

All I want to do is edit a folder name and cannot do it any longer. Who is running this software company, anyway??? Seems like you are not using your product and have no idea of how most of us are working with it. Get the old version back and learn to live with it before changing everything and making such a mess of things.

Yahoo, you may not think renaming a folder is all that important, but it is! Yahoo folders should be at least as versatile as paper folders, where you can change the name just by swapping out a tab - even if it's a box folder with a bunch of manila folders inside.
If this is too difficult to do, then warn us before we put subfolders in, so we can change our minds about doing so.

Yes, it's ridiculous that you can't change a fold name if there's folders within it. Obviously didn't think it through...
